Daldongnae - Ottawa

Truly amazing experience!! Wow! Amazing food and atmosphere. Tried various types of meat and all was at point. The atmosphere is definitely a conversational piece. Best Korean BBQ in Eastern Ontario, without a doubt. Definitely will visit again.Food: 5/5

The food is excellent meat quality is first class, one of the best Korean BBQ in town for an incredible value those delish side dishes are a LOT and the add-ons around your grill are awesome and if I could give a 6-stars to the atmosphere, I would. Wow, they literally turned the place upside down from the previous establishment. The service was amazing, but I can see the kitchen got overwhelmed on their first post-launched weekend. Came before dinner hour and the servers were attentive and food came out in a flash. 2 hr later, took 15 min to get anyone to notice me so I can get the bill. Then they forgot that I also asked for an empty container. But overall, the new staff did a great job to stay kind and professional, and definitely have the potential to step up. Biggest plus point is their willingness to listen to feedback. Came again 2 days later and manager stopped by every table to apologize for the weekend and asked on what they can do to improve their services. Again, this is less than a week after their launch. Last but not least, as of this writing, they can't serve alcohol just yet. That's a big oversight this is Korean BBQ, it's like serving Kraft Dinner but they can't serve cheese, especially when it takes nearly half their menu and integral part of the decoration... but they did say it'll be come by Friday! Yes, will come again. Vegetarian options: They have vegan grill option. Kid-friendliness: There is a high chair, but with lots of hot plates, you might want to be careful with tiny toddlers. Dietary restrictions: Their whole menu is peanut free.

We love the decor and attention to details that bring us back into time in Korea. Wonderful staff and service! We came with our 2 lil girls, Chloe, our server was really excellent with them and her overall service. Excellent quality of meat and food. Love the side dishes. The staffs might be overwhelmed with the overwhelming response from Ottawa who couldn’t wait to try their food just in the few days of opening. But overall great quality of food and service, nothing comparable that we have seen in Ottawa yet. definitely will come back for more!! Fighting Daldongnae Ottawa team!

Service was inattentive, servers didn’t know the menu, half the food and drink menu wasn’t available. Food was room temperature. And let’s just say the music was not appropriate to the diner, interesting country music at a kbbq spot LMAO. Probably just go to gyubee tbh.

Amazing!!!! I love them when I tried them in Montreal. And once I know they are here in Ottawa I came right away!!! There were a misunderstanding for the refills with the waiter. But at the end once the managers know they gave me a refill even the meat is finished. Just a side notes, you can keep having refills as long there is meat on the board or grill. Have fun guys!! Will come again with all my Asian friends!!!

Visited Daldongnae on a weekday for lunch and ordered the beef rib eye roll, beef boneless short rib, and kimchi cold noodle soup. I was impressed with the amount of side dishes that accompanied our meal. A spicy tofu stew was included to our surprise. The staff initially forgot to provide us with our own personal plates to place the cooked meat on, but promptly brought it out after it was brought to their attention. Everyone working at the restaurant was incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made my experience very enjoyable! In terms of ambiance, this location is well decorated and inviting similar to the Toronto ones.

hire more staff plz, the service is so slow compared to the one we went in toronto we sat at our table for 30 mins after placing our food, and it’s very cold inside food is good tho but before you guys fully trained your servers, we won’t be back…
