Dakota Pet Hospital

We have been so pleased with Dakota Pet Hospital. They have been caring for you female American Bull Dog name Bella since 2009 when she was 8 weeks old. They have cared for her through a surgery of removing a sock she ate to caring for her needs as she carried 16 baby puppies! They also checked them and gave them their first set of shots. Bella loves going there and gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot. The Drs and "Technicians have been gentle caring and so kind to her and us. I know that Bella is in good hands with Dakota Pet Hospital and that they truly care about our pets. They are family and are treated as such. You will not be disappointed! We have blessed to have them care for Bella!

Bring a fat wallet and some patience. I brought our dog in to see Dr. Jagow. She suspected Cushings disease but said a battery of tests would have to be done to verify that. The tests came to over $400.00 but we did them anyway. They said they would call me with the results the following day. At the end of the second day I called because (even though I had sent an email) I had not heard back. They said that the tests came back indicating Cushings disease but they would have to run (yep that's right) a few more tests...and guess how much (yep that's right) a few hundred more dollars. The reason I agreed to the $400 in testing to begin with is because she was pretty sure it was Cushings disease and just wanted to 'verify' it. So if those $400.00 worth of tests we ran didn't verify it, then why run them in the first place? In addition, she said that the medication was quite expensive. (Probably is if you buy it through them). However, I was able to find MANY places online that, with a prescription, cost about $30/mo. When I told them that, they said they would question the quality of the medication. Considering it is the same price through places like 'Valley Pet Supply' and 'Allivet Pet Pharmacy' - it makes me think that the markup Dakota Pet Hospital must have on their product is pretty outrageous and using tactics like disparaging reputable companies to scare people into buying medication from them instead is pretty deplorable. I'm sad I took our pup into this place. I am sure that I could have had her diagnosed and treated for the same price or less than I have already spent here with ZERO results. Go anywhere else...anywhere.

As a recent owner of a sweet golden retriever, I knew I needed to find a pet hospital that would help me transition into this season of life. Dakota Pet Hospital has exceeded my expectations. The front desk staff are very friendly and always make sure my dog's needs are attended to in a timely manner. The vet techs are always incredible in making sure I am educated in what needs to be done for my golden retriever. The veterinarians are also highly skilled in their training and I am deeply appreciative of the wide array of veterinarians available. I have to also give a huge shoutout to Allison the personal trainer as well as Stephanie as both of them have done an EXCEPTIONAL job in helping me understand how to work with my energetic puppy. Having taking puppy classes elsewhere, the small class sizes are a huge draw as I feel I am getting the proper training and education needed for what I desire for my dog. THANK YOU!

Hands-down Dakota Pet Hospital is the best veterinary clinic we’ve ever been to. The entire staff is friendly & caring! Dr. McNab is wonderful!! She takes the time to listen and address all of our concerns, we’ve never felt rushed or hurried out the door. Thank you, Dr. McNab & the entire staff at Dakota Pet Hospital for taking such wonderful care of Sammy & Sassy!
