This spot was on my list for some time. I’m real glad I went. Their menu is unique and their food speaks for itself. Everything is prepared hot and fresh and each dish brings its own unique touch. We tried the croissant eggs Benedict and French toast - both were fantastic. A must visit for any foodie in Toronto.
Cute neighborhood restaurant. Friendly staff and pretty fast service. Once I finally got my phone to work so that I could access the menu, things started to go smoothly. It’s smaller inside than I thought it would be. All the more reason why I started to panic inside when my phone would not work because I didn’t want to waste time and take up space. Once I was able to order I tried to consume as much maple crusted bacon as possible. But you know how you’re starving and then you get food and then you can’t finish everything? That happened to me and my breakfast was so tasty and delicious. I just couldn’t eat all the bites I wanted!!! I wanted every bite.
Came here with a party of 6 for brunch at around 9am. Hospitality, food, and service were 5/5 stars. It's nice walking in to a place and immediately being greeted by staff with smiles on their face and feeling right at home. I got the carnivore, an iced chai tea first time having one, I loved it and some waffles for the table pictured below. Food was amazing everything tasted fresh the cooks definitely know what they're doing. Servers had vast knowledge of the menu and answered our every question, I will definitely come back.
An amazing little place tucked into a street on Bloor, Daily Grind is hands down one of the best cafés I’ve been at in Toronto. The brunch was very generous, everything was made fresh on the spot, and the coffee and juice options were very unique. We had the Au Porc, Avocado Toast, and The Carnivore as well as the Turmeric Latte and Mango Orange juice. The only downside was that there’s a little bit of a wait for the food to come, but I’d say it’s definitely worth it. I’ll totally come back here more often this summer!
What a hidden gem! I had an amazing brunch here! Absolutely love their specialty brunch plates! The service was nice and the patio is so cozy! I tried their lobster Benny and it was to die for!! I was happy to see that they did not skim on the lobster!! It was a boujie brunch, but it’s reasonably priced and definitely worth every penny!!
Excellent brunch menu. The steak sandwich and the croissant benedict was great. The croque madame was OK but not great. French toast and pancakes are beautifully presented. Only reason for 1 less star is the espresso drinks were terrible the foam was messed up the drip coffee was actually good.
Had such a filling brunch with a friend. The food was delicious! It wasn't too busy so we managed to get a nice spot. Service was great! Lemonade was perfect, not too sweet. Definitely returning!
An amazing find in the Lansdowne area for coffee and brunch. Love the decor and the food was very well presented. Great vibes all around! On their website, you can view their menu which states that they use farm-fresh, free-run, GMO and antibiotic-free eggs. Their beverage menu contained some uncommon choices like Vietnamese Coffee, Shaken Butterscotch Latte, Turmeric Latte and Thai Iced Tea to list a few. Our table ordered the Gettin' Crabby and The Benny with Smoked Salmon. We did not realize that The Benny would come inside the croissant, absolutely blown away by the presentation and the combination. Their house salad was delicious as well. The Lychee Hibiscus Juice was a purple cold beverage which looked and tasted great. The Vietnamese Coffee was consistent with other authentic versions as well! They have cute patio space and limited tables inside. The vibes were all great and worth coming back to try more of the menu items! Their staff are very friendly and makes great recommendations on beverage choices. Also, they have a waitlist if it gets really busy.
Super cute cafe with good brunch menu selection. They had comfy indoor seating and a good sized patio. I had the Spiced Omelette and enjoyed every bite. The salad dressing and edamame puree really complete the meal. Our table also got Gettin’ Crabby and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, they were both yummy.
I think my favourite thing was the potatoes, so try to get a dish that has the potatoes they season it so it's not just a bland mushy chunk of potato, but is actually flavourful and has a crisp exterior. In terms of the other food, i would say it was just average. The maple bacon was way too sweet and wasn't even crispy.. it was kinda soggy. I was excited for the lemon ricotta pancakes but the pancakes themselves were a bit too cakey for my liking. The lemon curd and blueberries were really good tho. I recommend sharing the pancakes with your group so that everyone gets a bite of something sweet. They definitely have some unique items so maybe I just didn't try the best things yet. Be prepared to wait for a seat, especially if you don't come right when they open. We arrived at 10am on a Saturday and the only available seats left were bar or counter which was fine for our group of 4, but after we sat, every potential customer had to wait 40-50 minutes. This is apparently bc all the early customers came at the same time, all got seated around the same time, plus some of their group hadn't arrived yet so they still had to wait for each other. I'd recommend coming at/as close to open as possible. If you can't, you'd have to leave your name on a waitlist and at that point you should just go somewhere else to eat lol. Overall it's a cute little brunch spot but only if you can get a seat lol. I appreciate the Asian influences in the menu, and hopefully I can try some other things in the future
