The beginning was 'greeted' by a very grumpy and cold lady. Nothing warm or inviting about the service. We ordered basic breakfast included scrambled eggs toast and hasbrowns. Also ordered the loaded fries. #1 complaint was the breakfast was lukewarm at the most. #2 the portion was ridiculously small, enough for a seniors plate. #3 loaded fries were lack luster....cold cheese shreds and cold bacon. The up was the fries were warm and cooked. #4 the coffee was so strong Absolutely will not be back. I even mentioned the cool items to the server and no concern or question.
First time at D'Lanos with some friends for brunch and I enjoyed my meal. The atmosphere was great and I did not find the place loud even through there were many customers. I ordered the chicken fingers and fries which arrived hot and tasty. Especially loved the crunch on the fries and the chicken fingers were tasty as well. Would return and D'Lanos lived up to the rave reviews my friends have been telling me about. Dietary restrictions: They were very accommodating for my friends gluten free allergy and made sure to thoroughly communicate so no cross contamination occurred.
Brought my mother and baby out for what should have been a worry free brunch. The hostess was treating everyone nasty, all because they had a large table to handle. Absolutely unprofessional and down right rude. We waited to be seated for a long time, were told to just go to a table in the back and she would bring menus... the menus came 20 minutes later from the hostess who said would be right there... after our server had already grabbed our order. Required a spoon to feed my baby, which never came so I had to go grab my own, was told I could not grab my own... I told her my spoon never came and her reply was, "well can't you see were busy?!" She yelled as walking away. Miserable lady shouldn't work in customer service if you can't provide even the bare minimum version of hospitality. Unfortunate. Also every single highchair was disgusting... I asked if they were clean and she replied yes. All four were covered in hashbrown/syrup. The change table in the bathroom was also gross.. ended up changing my little girl in the car.
Good service, good food and prices are adequate. The ice outside the restaurant has not been addressed, though which is important for your patrons, especially any elderly. Please address this!
I always love eating here because of the freat friendly service and the food never disappoints me, but now that I seen the new breakfast wrap on the menu I would hope they add more selections for the wraps liek they do with omelets. Either way I was happy to finally return for some good eats l. Kid-friendliness: I usually have my kids and the service is always amazingly kids friendly but this time it was just a trip for us parents
I had an appointment next door, walked by, and smelled breakfast. Treated myself to breakfast poutine. Soooo yummy and filling. Servers and staff attentive, friendly and wonderful. Great way to start my day. Thank you so much!!Food: 5/5
Love their crepes with strawberry and wipe cream on top! Also unlimited coffee! The ladies are amazing with kids as well so it's great to bring the kids along because they even have coloring for them to do!
Always have issues with their non-coffee drinks and their pancake batter seems to have better days; the last few times I've been in its been sour like the milk went bad weeks past. Service, however, is excellent. Each member of staff is friendly, especially the long-timers. The atmosphere is relaxed and certainly plays the part of "Family Restaurant" perfectly, though some seating could use a refresh and the music can be a little too loud some days if you get there too early when everyone's hustling to open shop! Lol. Have done both take out and sit in and the service doesn't change. For takeout the food is hot, down to the sauces, and they provide baggies chock full of condiments. Pricing is maybe a bit high, but it's nothing to scoff at when supporting a local business. Parking: Parking can be a jam, literally. They share a fairly small area with bustling businesses on every side and Lordco across the lot.
Best breakfast I have had in a long time! Quick friendly service, definitely a good restaurant for your family. :DFood: 5/5
Food was hot and filling, the coffee was kept flowing and the Service was terrific. We were there Thanksgiving Sunday with a party of 8 and they accommodated us without issue.
