The CVPH Medical Center is a hospital located in Plattsburgh, New York.Champlain Valley Physicians' Hospital was created in 1972 by the merger of the private Physician's Hospital with Champlain Valley Hospital, a charitable hospital operated by the Grey Nuns. As CVPH Medical Center, it is currently a not-for-profit facility incorporating a variety of inpatient, outpatient, and community outreach care services, including an oncology center, a nursing home unit, renal dialysis center, adult and child/adolescent mental health wards, and medical and surgical capabilities. In recent years, the cardiology services (provided by Lake Champlain Cardiology Associates) have expanded to include coronary interventional care (provided by Champlain Valley Cardiology) and open-heart surgery (provided by Champlain Valley Cardiothoracic Surgeons). The hospital also has a variety of diagnostic and rehabilitation services.

Can I give a lower score? Terrible patient care for a hospital. People are sick they don't want to be in the hospital they don't have a choice. They are vulnerable and need care. The staff make you feel unwanted and like your a burden. I've been a patient here and worked there for many years. It's only about $$$. AMC has the best patient care they actually take care of you! Oh and is way cleaner.

It seems to be either hit or miss. The staff is pleasant. :-) Like any other hospital one is going to have the administrative bureaucracy that goes with it. If someone leaves a smear review with nothing to back it up, chances are they either did not get their pills or they may suffer from society leach syndrome!

I don’t know why all the negative comments, it was my first time at the hospital emergency and all the staff was very nice and respectful...very busy hospital.

Hopefully readers don’t ignore this, but the service at this hospital is the worst I’ve ever seen. I’ve been to hospitals in developing countries and the service is thrice better than that at CVPH, which obviously, is in one of the biggest nations of the world. With the resources we have, you’d expect a better service. Also, there was a doctor that looked so disgusted upon dealing with my friend, maybe because she is a minority or maybe just because he’s disgusted to deal with sick people, in which case he should probably find a new job, maybe one that doesn’t deal with others sickness or health. I respect all of the nurses and staff for the work they do, but the service provided is repulsive.

Hit and miss with the care you get. Can't say I have had all bad experiences but have definitely had a couple. But I have also been and had excellent care, depends on the staff.
