Crow's Nest

Delicious food for a reasonable price. The wait staff are incredibly friendly as well. I'd estimate there's only a dozen tables, so you're likely going to wait some amount of time, but it's worth it. One of the best restaurants in town!

This has reliably been one of my favorite restaurants since I moved to Kalamazoo. The setting is eclectic and has a ton of character. Lots of unique menu items with excellent and local ingredients. Options for vegans, vegetarians, people with allergies, and meat lovers. The coffee is better in the shop downstairs but still better than most in the restaurant. Easy parking.

I have been here multiple times and the food is always great. But recently they have become very inefficient in their seating. There was a time when they seated a 4 people party on the only 6 people table the restaurant when my 6 person party was waiting. We had to go somewhere else for lunch. Today, I have been waiting for 2 hours. 1 hour to be seated another to be served. I would have gone somewhere else but the server told us that table will be ready in 15 minutes over and over again. I hope the management can get it's act together.

Staff was fantastic, energetic and professional. I had the waitress pick my vegan meal (without telling me) and she selected the MASH (Tofu, spinach, grilled onions...) sandwich and I have to admit it was really good. It would make this a 6+ if they offered desert - don't NEED that anyway...wink wink.

This is a delicious place to eat if you want to try something local while visiting Kalamazoo or just have good food. The food choices, while not huge, are still quite big and offer a wide variety of foods for many different people so you're sure to finding something you like. I myself have been lucky enough to eat at this place many times so I've been able to see how consistent they are and try other dishes. Every time I come here not only are their serving sizes VERY generous for their prices but the quality is always on par. While I have found a couple dishes that I love, all their dishes appear large, hardy, and delicious for even the picky eaters. Although some people may complain that the wait is too long, I find no issue with it and when you do get your food it's well worth the wait! Along with the food being amazing and the prices being great, this is a wonderful place to bring family and guests as they're sure to find something they love! All in all, this is a great place that offers wonderful food at a great price every time.
