Crooked Lake Wilderness Lodge

From the beginning of the first boat ride across the lakes into the lodge, this is a very unique experience. The surroundings are stunning and when you finally turn the corner and get your first glimpse of the Lodge, you will be amazed. Great location for large groups or family get togethers. Great hiking, swimming, paddling and the fishing is outstanding. Or, just relax on the numerous decks soaking in the solitude. Something for everyone. An excellent adventure and one I would highly recommend!

I always look forward to going to the lodge, it's very secluded and serene. The views there are just breathtaking. The experience is amazing as well, even the portages to get to the lodge is very fun. There are many things to do; fishing, hiking, swimming, relaxing; anything worthwhile on a vacation you can do. All other things aside the lodge is a great experience that i feel everyone that is able to experience the lodge, should.

Although boat transfers are available the last time we visited my wife and I chose to kayak into the lodge. It was a wonderful option to start our weekend getaway. The rooms are clean and comfortable, tasty home cooked food and the fishing was outstanding. Already looking forward to our next visit this summer.

I'm not big into fishing so when the others go out there is still lots to enjoy. The scenery is breathtaking and relaxing. Great place to go canoeing, hiking, swimming or just relax with a book. Truly a great Canadian experience!!!

I have been to this lodge and stayed there on three separate occasion. This is a little piece of heaven that is away from everyone. There is only one other hunting camp on the lake and they never seem to be there. When fishing, you usually have the lake to yourself since it is so remote. If anyone does make the trip it is usually by canoe where they have to carry it between long lake, round lake fishhog lake, and into crooked lake. (I believe that's the order) I have never had a bad day of fishing up there (if that is possible). Any area within 50' from the shore of the lake you will hook into large and smallmouth bass. I have even pulled in a small mouth bass with my leader hanging about a foot above the surface of the water while changing my hook. There is options when you want to go out on the water. You can take the canoe or take one of the many 12' motor boats with (newer) 9.9hp motors The water is super dark so you cannot see very far down (the same as most northern inland lakes) but it is super refreshing. It is a deep lake in the center and around 12' off of the end of the docks. It is amazing to dive into on a hot day or after a night with your friends and family. The beds are comfortable and you have everything from home at your finger tips. I believe that there are showers and bathrooms in ever room. So you will have your own space. They run off of a generator but is super quiet and it is far enough away that you don't really pay attention that it is even really there. I can not wait to go back up there again!
