Balsam Lake Villa Cottages

We camped here, the people that run it are really nice, washrooms are spotless, very quite clean park, we will be back.

Absolutely terrible. Worst experience my family had ever had on a vacation. Ended up leaving early. Owners seem nice at first, but you soon find out otherwise very quick. Cottages are so blistering hot, no plugs in rooms for a fan. Everything is held together with duct tape, and falling apart as you walk in. Never again! Hated every minute we were there, lake is beautiful, cottages are total opposite.

Loved our rustic Cottage! Grounds are absolutely beautiful, owners take very good care it!! Beach area needs a little TLC there was a tire and big rocks further out in the water. Cottage was equipped with everything you need and was clean. I'll be back!

Went here as a child back in the 60s. Sad to see it has aged so severely with no attempt at conscientious maintenance or modernization. The fireplace in cottage #10 is untrustworthy and should not be used. Evidence of past flooding obvious in many of the photos I posted months ago when I was still too reluctant to post a formal review. Beds hard as rock. Furniture as old and worn as cottages particularly sofa. Seems to me the gracious owners only do the bare minimum and have no interest in proper maintenance. Sorry to have to say all this.

Very pleased that Maggie has kept the cleanliness of this older motel second to none. This was the second stay here and it won't be the last. Great value stay. Thank you.

Loved this place, quiet, clean great fishing! The owner Lawrence is a great guy, top notch.

Great people. Cabins are very nice. Central fire pit brings everyone together.
