First and last time visiting. We had made reservations for 2 and when we arrived we were seated at a table for 6 next to the front door although there were other smaller tables open.nnThe atmosphere is very stark, concrete floors, cold, and very noisy. Very very noisy. We had to sit next to each other and yell to be heard.nnFood is not worth the price, small portions but the taste was ok.nnWe hurried up and ate and left. We were cold and felt awkward sitting at a huge table with just the 2 of us.
Nice place with friendly staff, but the food was pretty plain and didn’t have much flavor.nWe ordered fried tomato with lobster, steak skewers and fettuccini.
Took my family there for dinner. My wife talked with the server regarding her multiple food allergies. The server even checked with the kitchen, all was safe. She ordered the vegan risotto with salmon and without pecans, ones of her allergies. They plate came and everything looked good. After eating half the salmon there were approximately 4 pecans hiding under the salmon. After informing the server a new risotto was delivered without salmon as requested by my wife. The bill showed up and they still charged us for the entire plate including the salmon. My son who is a chef and was with us was flabbergasted. First it should have never happened and second you do not charge for a plate that included allergens. We will never be back. Buyer beware here if you have allergies. The server was apologetic and seemed to be genuinely appalled.
This is the second time I've been here, though the first time was a handful of years ago. We stopped by after the eclipse for a beautiful sunny dinner on their patio. It's a nice setting in the city. We both enjoyed our food so much. I had the blackened chicken mac and cheese and fried green tomatoes. So much flavor! Tje cocktail was a special, the banana eclipse which was really good. Our service was wonderful. Definitely plan on going back as everything on the menu sounded great!
Cute establishment in downtown Akron. The restaurant was clean with clean bathrooms big deal for me. I ordered a side salad and the grouper entree. Both were good but don’t order the grouper if you are not a fan of hummus that comes with it. My husband had the blackened chicken/mac and cheese entree and it was SO good! We always compete on who orders the best dish and he won! lol. We had the brownie dessert. It came with chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips in it and pretzels on top - which was a surprisingly tasty concoction. Our server was so attentive and friendly and timed our food just right. Overall I had a great experience!
