The quality of service has definitely decreased over the last year. Their staff could barely speak English and are barely trained properly. They increased their prices for what? The price Increase isn't even worth it. I got a polish change on my toes the guy did not even shape the nails on my toes he literally just removed my old polish and put on new polish. No file no nothing. It is ashamed what this salon has turned into. I feel like it's being run my amateurs . If they have trainees doing your nails the least they can do is give you a discount. They have absolutely no loyalty and appreciation for their long time customers. I started going to another salon but this weekend i decided to go to cozy spa because it was close to my next appointment. This soured my weekend. $55 very poorly spent . Never going their again .
The Cozy Spa seems very clean and they were able to fit me in on short notice. Unfortunately, the removal of my previous gel manicure was done much too hastily — the nails were only left to soak with the acetone for 5 minutes and then a lot of scraping was done with a sharp metal tool. I should have spoken up but I haven’t had a gel removal in a while and didn’t realize that the trauma would have my nails still sore many days later. The application itself was fine. The nails were filed a bit wonky, and the ends weren’t capped so I expect them to chip early. Overall, my nails feel really weak and painful under the shellac. The star is for colour selection and the friendly if aggressively scraping technician.
I decided to try Cozy Spa Nails because it's close to where I live. When I went in for my visit I was told by the receptionist that in case of chips on my shellac manicure I had a two week guarantee and it will be fixed for free. Day 4 and most of my fingers are chipped so on day 7 I went in to book an appointment to get them fixed. The receptionist again clarifies that they are going to be fixed free of charge. When I arrive for my appointment the lady that had already started working on my nails says that they are going to have to charge and that they only have a one week guarantee. Even though it's only been 8 days since my original appointment. Her attidute was unacceptable, she was yelling in a store full of customers about the boss not paying her for fixing my nails. Zero care about customer experience. I did end up tipping her because I felt bad but i also felt so embraced in the store in front of all the other ladies getting their nails done as well.
They are rude and talking in their own language about me. I got 2 people to get my nails done. The first one was going too fast for a simple manicure and the second one didn't know how to put the shellac. She wasn't waiting for the shellac to be dried before putting the second coat of nail polish. Also you don't only pay 35 $, they charge you the tax. Better going in Chinatown.
Have been coming here for more than two years since I have lived in this neighbourhood but today was the last time. This is a good place to get your nails done if you have no idea what you want, and would like some one else to decide for you and do what ever is the most conveneint for them. Want a coffin shape? Cool, you’re getting oval because that’s what the tech wants. Sparkles on your ring finger? Well, your tech is going to insist you choose one only, and conveniently not understand when you try to explain what you want. You have a picture of what you want? Perfect, she will look, confirm but go ahead and give you a different shape completely! Very very disappointing, especially as there ARE good nail technicians here, there are one or two bad apples that spoil the bunch. Why not make an appointment with one of the good ones you ask? Because they will confirm your appointment but then give you to whom ever they choose when you actually arrive for your appointment. If any of this sounds like a good experience to you, you like paying for things you don’t want that cannot be undone, and generally like paying someone money to be stressed out and disappointed when it’s all over, definitely check this place out.
When you walk in you think you are in a great salon. However I got the worst set of gel nails there I have ever got. Two days later, the shellac was peeling off, and three days later two nails broke off. I went to my usual place to get it fixed and they were shocked at the terrible job Cozy Nails did. And they are over priced.
I used to come here all the time and it was a great place. Today, I went and asked if they had availability for a manicure and indicated shellac. When they saw I pulled out a gel polish, they talked amongst themselves and said they couldn't do it. Strange business model! Will not be returning!
I paid extra for no chip polish which immediately started to chip. I've also gotten shellac in the past from them which also immediately started to chip both within minutes/hours. Pedicure comes with a ten minute foot rub which I maybe got 2-3 minutes of. I had to point out a few spots they'd missed too. Pictures were taken when I got home from the pedicure 20 min difference. In fairness they offered for me to get a free touch up, however, I went on my off day because I knew I was too busy to go over the next few days, so I never had time to go back. I'm also tired of paying full price for half of a service and don't want to have to go back. Expensive for the poor quality you get - not worth it. No other pedicure I've had rubs off in those spots that fast.
I’ve found this place hit or miss depending on who you have. Today was awful though. The technician smudged a finger nail all the way down to the nail after the second coat and just kept adding more polish which didn’t fix the nail. I pointed out that you could still see the gouge to her after the top coat, so she put more polish on. I sat under the dryers for 45mins, and by the time I got home, my toes were completely smudged. 5 hours later, 2 of my finger nails smudged. This was supposed to be a relaxing afternoon activity while my child was with her sitter, but has turned into a massive waste of time and money. Save yourself the frustration I experienced and go elsewhere with better trained staff.
