Loved this campground!! One of the best I’ve ever stayed at, and I’m full time in our camper van. Private, secluded, and spacious sites, very clean and really cheap showers $0.25 for 3 minutes, and friendly staff upon checkin. There’s lots to do around the camp such as nature trails, volleyball net, baseball diamond, frisbee golf, horseshoes, and spacious grassy fields for even more activities. Dump station is very clean and easy access on your way out- free for campers or $10 for non campers. Cell signal is about 2 bars for Verizon… we couldn’t stream Netflix or anything, but still could text and use internet on my phone. Great location, only about 45min-1hr from Mt. Rainier NP. could not see either Mt. Rainier or St. Helen from here due to thick forests but we caught a glimpse of mt. St. Helen on the drive in. Beautiful!
Grounds are very clean, restrooms are kept up, there is a playground that's accessible for younger kids and a beautiful lake 10 minutes away by car. This is our favorite place to go for our family camping trip! 10/10 highly recommend reserving your spots now!!
We stayed here for 3 nights to breakup the drive to the Columbia River. Sites are double wide and deep #22. Huge lawn on this loop. I don’t know how it is said they are close, this loop they are 50’+ apart. Good family campground with nice play areas for kids. The whole campground is well maintained. At night it was quiet, we were here the day after memorial day weekend, so only 2 other campers. Host was very helpful and friendly. A great choice for a restful stay.
Clean, lots of sites, some with hook ups, beautiful scenery, good location for heading out to Mt Rainier or Mt St Helens or other areas, river for swimming Note that it is snow melt and cold!, campsites with privacy and some more open depending on your preference. All in all a nice place to stay.
Nice quiet camping. We did the group site and the bathrooms were clean. Almost don't want to share this place because it's way better than Cascade Peaks that's overcrowded and dated services. They have amenitys like Frisbee golf, horseshoes, big toy for the kids. We had a great time going to the Packwood swap meet 20miles away. Thanks to all the hard workers that keep the place clean! #happycamper
Nice campground. Great place to bring kids. Paved roads for bike riding. Nice family style bathrooms with pay showers. Electric and water hook up sites for trailers. Dump station. Playground. Some sites in the woods. Some sites in open areas. Volleyball. Horseshoes. Soccer/football field. Baseball diamond. 3 miles from reservoir/lake for water play. Close to a day use/river park boat launch and fishing. Camp Sites vary in size, some trailer sites large enough for a tent also. Cowlitz Falls a bit of a misnomer as there are no falls nearby. The dams and reservoir apparently took them out.
We meet with about 20 other families from our church to come here every year. It's so peaceful and beautiful. The campgrounds are awesome. We ALWAYS enjoy it SO MUCH. This year I would have given 5 starts easily, but for the way the park staff was acting! We were very put off work the way we were treated. Especially since we had these reservations since this time last year, we DEFINITELY are extremely respectful and clean, so I'm still unsure as to why we were continuously treated this way. They kept trying to double charge people that were part of our group. Even I would have ended up into being bullied for paying, though we were already paid for, but I knew the payment situation so I knew what to say. Anyways, we will still go next year.
Very nice clean campground. Great sites are private and shaded. Lots of open area for dogs and kids, nice playground and disc golf. Plenty of walking trails nearby. We'll be back for sure.
Beautiful campground along the cowlitz river. Has a playground, disc golf, volleyball, baseball field, and basketball hoop. Also a boat launch and a couple of the bathrooms have showers.
My first time ever camping! Lots of privacy, close to the bathroom. Unfortunately the showers don't work. Has portable water. Has a field doesn't the road we were able to let the dogs run.
