Two years ago in a moment of hopelessness, I made a phone call to a complete stranger whose company I found on the internet to tell my tale of woe and ask for help. That stranger was Jon Clark of Nauset Management LLC, and when he finally got a word in edgewise, his response was music to my ears: “Sure, how can I help?” Two years later, I can honestly say that engaging Jon Clark to help me manage a vacant home located on one of the busiest streets in Orleans was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am a middle aged woman who had been given power of attorney over an ailing parent’s property. I live two states away, and very rarely make it back “home” to the lovely old house in which I was raised. I desperately needed someone to watch the property while I settled my mother into comfortable living and care arrangements close to me, worked a full time job, and strived to retain some normalcy with my own family. In a very short time, I realized that Jon would be instrumental in helping me keep my sanity. Charged with emptying a 7 bedroom house/3 car garage and attic full of the “stuff” that accumulated during my family’s 50 years of living there, I asked for Jon’s advice and help. Over the course of the next year, he arranged for disposal of junk, found buyers for collectibles, arranged for debris removal and lawn care, met with contractors needing access to the house, and performed his invaluable “watch services.” He even found for me an insurance agent willing to insure a vacant house; all of this at no inconvenience to me! To this day, I have not met Jon Clark in person - we have conducted all of our business by email or over the phone, which he has made extremely easy and effective, with fast response times and detailed communication. During this time, Jon earned his real estate license. Given that he had spent so much time working in and around the house, it seemed an obvious choice to ask Jon to broker the sale of the house as well; by this time he knew the property better than anyone! I write this testimonial having just received a full price offer on the house as a result of Jon’s efforts. I continue to be impressed with Jon’s attention and service! I don’t think I can overstate how helpful Jon has been to me over the past two years. Not only does his Watch Service provide peace of mind during those long, cold winter months when a frozen pipe or fallen tree limb can wreak havoc on a house, but his personal approach to service means that your instructions are heard and your concerns addressed in an expeditious and reliable manner. If he can help, he will help. It’s just that simple. Once the house sale is finalized, I will no longer need to have someone watch over a beloved house in Orleans, or communicate with Jon regarding a prospective buyer. However, to ease the effects of withdrawal, I am seriously considering staying on the distribution list for Jon’s lower Cape weather updates, which are not only informative, but also funny.
