Staff was friendly. Roast pork w/ gravy over real mashed potatoes would have been better w/ homemade gravy. The potatoes were delicious and the pork tasty and not dry. Onion soup was on the salty side but good.
Easy to get to. Had a fair crowd on a Friday night but not cramped at all. Surprisingly extensive and varied menu. Breakfast served all day which is a good thing. I had the meat lovers skillet and it was hot and cheesy with the eggs over easy and was very good. Will be going back. Has a small town cafe feel with a very complete menu, was impressed. Good value.
Delicious and friendly breakfast in Clinton Iowa. Cousins Family Restaurant is a Quintessential, Small Family Business, and doing a great job. The food for price and quantity was very good. I had the cinnamon roll and a breakfast burrito. Both were delicious. The cinnamon roll was super soft, big, and really fresh. It was hard to share, that cinnamon-dream come true, as I wanted to eat the whole roll; but was leaving room for the breakfast course. The roll was gone so fast, that the photo was of an empty plate! The breakfast burrito arrived, and I was initially underwhelmed, but wow...don’t judge a burrito by its cover. It was packed full of ingredients, very filling, and extremely tasty. A tortilla can make or break a burrito. This tortilla was very fresh, had great texture, and flavor. The tortilla deserves a standout mention, as it’s rare to be served a fresh tortilla, in a restaurant. Inside was eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, cheese, and potatoes; which were well proportioned, seasoned, and served piping hot. I liked how the eggs were prepared for the burrito; omelet-like, not scrambled; and served with good salsa and basic sour-cream. I tried to leave half for later, but the flavors begged to be consumed. I ate everything! I appreciated the attention to fresh and flavorful food. I noticed the ribeye special and almost ordered, but stuck to the burrito. I did see the ribeye delivered to the next table, and it was a nice portion for the price. For $12 don’t expect a thick cut steak but do expect a good steak. Everything here appears fresh, so it might take a little longer for food delivery. So if you’re starving, order dessert first... let them make you a deliciously fresh meal. Cousins Family Restaurant serves really good breakfast in Clinton Iowa.

This is a great restaurant Thay have good service and great tasty yummy good coffee as well as there food i recommend this restaurant I give five star.
I always love coming to cousins! They have some of the best breakfast food in town and at a great price and you get huge portions too. Service is always friendly and quick! Food always comes out at the same time and all the dishes will still be hot and steamy. I almost always get biscuits and gravy for myself but I tend to bring friend along who get waffles or skillets or omelettes and I always snag a bite because its always ends up being tasty.
Nice, small and clean restaurant. We went early to beat the possible crowd for the all you can eat fried fish on a Friday. There was one other couple here. I didn't get the fish special because the waitress couldn't tell us what kind of fish it was, and I'm not a fish eater so I ordered the cod from the menu because cod is a mild tasting fish. My fish was okay, except the batter fell off when I would cut a piece. I would prefer a batter that stayed on, but the cod was mild, so I ate 2 pieces and gave my husband the other. My husband enjoyed the special and said the fish was also mild and crispy but much smaller pieces than I had. All in all it was a nice place. Features: No mask required.
FAVORITE breakfast place in Clinton! The food is really good, and the staff is very friendly! They form connections with regulars, and it makes us feel welcomed! My boyfriend and I go here the morning after a night out, and our go to order is a couple burgers mine with egg and a milk shake! Sooo good! They do have an older crowd in the morning who like to stare when you walk in lol, but we don't mind! Everyone is friendly!

I love the food I love the ambience and I love the fact that they make authentic homemade food everyone should come out and try them they have a variety of different specials my favorite is Taco Mondays I recommend that everyone should give them a try
