My voice lessons with Courtenay are the absolute highlight of the week. Courtenay is not only INCREDIBLY knowledgeable on all things related to singing - often mentioning scientific studies and explaining various voice mechanisms - but he’s also hilarious. I’m thinking about creating my personal laugh track from our recordings alone. He knows exactly how to balance work and play. Lessons are engaging and challenging. The progress I’ve made since starting coaching is very rewarding; I owe it all to Courtenay and his teaching!
Courtenay is simply amazing! He patiently goes through the details with you to make sure the lesson you get is tailor made for you. He is very knowledgeable in singing, science and music. As he dives deep into theories and also biological facts to teach you the reason behind a certain way of singing, or the right way to prevent any damages to your vocal cords and make you sound good! All that with a wonderful personality; Respectful and professional, yet warm-hearted.

What continually impresses me about Courtenay is not only his incredibly detailed knowledge of singing and music, but his clear passion for teaching. When I struggle to grasp a concept or perform a particular phrase or technique, he knows exactly how to adjust his approach to help me understand it better. This is something that has proven to be genuinely priceless to me and my vocal progress. It's super refreshing to have a teacher that loves what he does and is excited to help you become better every lesson. I physically cannot recommend Court enough! 10/10
Courtenay has completely changed the way I sing and the way I think about my voice. In just a few months, I am comfortably mixing in a pop style in which I’ve never before felt at home. Courtenay delivers constructive pointers in a way that is supportive and non-judgmental, and celebrates every win with you along the way. You’ll get a nugget or two to work with in the free intro lesson, as well, but the full regular lessons with him are worth every penny. Highly recommend for anyone looking to work on their pop technique!
Courtenay has unlocked registers and resonances in my voice I did not know were possible. I’m completely blown away. As a professional singer theatre and cruiselines, it was incredibly difficult to undo my old techniques but I’m so happy that I put my trust in Courtenay because his technique and teaching-style are truly effective. You learn how to sing with ease as well as train your ears to really listen. Courteney is fun and super easy to talk to. As long as you put in the work on your end, you are guaranteed to improve and reach new levels in your singing. I definitely recommend learning from him!
I just can’t say enough good things about Courtenay. As a professional performer and vocal coach myself I have an MA in Musical Theatre Performance and BA in Music, I recently made the choice to go back to singing lessons for the first time in 10+ years, and picked Courtenay since I had heard good things and I appreciated his online presence. And BOY am I glad I did!!!! He is professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and passionate — both about staying on top of cutting-edge vocal science, and more importantly! about the vocal growth of his students. He was able to diagnose my issues right away and give me practical exercises immediately. He creates a safe space to allow for experimentation without putting any pressure on needing to get things right away - this is crucial for me when picking a teacher. His technological knowledge allows for very efficient online lessons, and he makes everything super user-friendly. I’m learning more with him than I have in my previous 15 years of performing and teaching and my voice is sounding better than I ever believed possible — I strongly advocate Courtenay for any and all levels of voice, especially for those who have prior singing experience and just haven’t been able to access a sustainable mix. Courtenay will get you back together. Book him!
