We had a horrible experience renting the cottage this July 2021. Property ID :005HH Mississippi Lake - Near Carlton Place. The cottage got full of flying insects in the late evening hours attracted by the inside lights. The first night was more less ok, but the second became a complete disaster. Just to clarify - we have kept all windows' and doors' screens closed as we didn't want mosquitoes inside in the first place, and the lights were on approximately from 8:30pm till 10:30pm. As we have later discovered, the screens, though seem in a good condition, do not fit snuggly to the windows frames allowing insects to get inside. The bugs were EVERYWHERE- on a ceiling, walls, floors, in our beds, in our belongings, on the kitchen counter, furniture...At the beginning they were on the ceiling mostly, so we didn't notice right away, but then they started to fly all over, and fall down from the ceiling. We had to turn the bedroom lights off to get the insects to at least kitchen-family room area with the lights being on - which did helped but also attracted more bugs from outside. We spent a restless night, and had to leave in the morning after shaking off all our belongings. Contacted the owners right away and sent an email with photos to Kerri Bradley rentals and sales rep. explaining our situation and the experience. Have been told that the company is not responsible for mother Nature, and we should have just clean the bugs and monitor our light usage next night. We haven't received a refund or any compensation for at least the days we haven't stay. Our long planned family vacation was ruined, and the money were lost. Very disappointing. We have no trust in this company. Would not recommend.
Monica is the best ! Great to deal with, lots of choices and goes the extra distance. I've been renting exclusively through Cottages Unlimited for 6 years and shall do so for years to come ! Highly recommended !!

Great to work with. Monica helped facilitate getting some personal belongings back to me that I left at a rental. She went above and beyond to help.
