We got married earlier this month and my mom had found Corina Bakery and suggested we look into them. We had a pretty good idea of what we were looking for with mostly cupcakes but a small cake to cut for us. We got carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and yellow cupcakes with chocolate frosting that they decorated with shaved chocolate pieces and made them simple yet elegant. When it came to our cake it was a bit more detailed because we had a baseball wedding and so we wanted a German chocolate cake but wanted it to have a baseball design so they did the German chocolate with the topping between the layers but vanilla frosting on the outside with red threading like decor for the final touches on the baseball. Overall the cakes were delicious and the cake looked perfect and exactly what we wanted!
Just ordered the banana pudding and the bananas inside were disgustingly hard. The pudding was yummy and fluffy but yikes. The honey lavender cake was scrumptious. The lemon bar was gooey and very wet but taste like a lemon flavored wet brownie I will only be buying cakes from here. Good luck
We ordered an allergy friendly dessert buffet for our wedding that took place last night! Everything looked SO beautiful and was SO delicious! It got done earlier than I expected which was really helpful and my guests were so happy to have some delicious treats that were allergy friendly! Thank you so much!
Corina Bakery is a fabulous bakery! The staff are positive and friendly; training seems decent for new employees too, so is is sustaining. The historical feel in the building and the idea of having a lot of art on the walls lends to nice feel, decor, and vibe. The bakery has lots of sweet items but also many types of savory sandwiches for lunch and breakfast both. There is not a bakery culture in the West Coast so believe we should treasure and support excellent places such as Corina where you can walk to your local bakery and get fresh baked goods for the day. Today there were lots of special Valentine's Day items! •̀ᴗ-و ̑̑
Ordered cupcakes for my son's first birthday and they were great! They even were able to have a soy free cupcake for a friend with an allergy. Also they were able to print The Hungry Caterpillar image and put it on the cupcakes to go with the theme of his party!!! Definitely will be ordering from them in the future
A Tacoma staple that has the best selection of baked goods around. Most/all are very sweet too sweet for me and for some reason basically everything comes wrapped in plastic why?, but they will give you a "for here" mug if you ask. I like their coffee, vibe, and outdoor seating, which keeps me coming back. But please stop wrapping everything in plastic! Save yourself the financial and environmental cost.
We ordered a custom cake for my daughter’s birthday. While picking up the cake we ordered an Americano and a Mocha, both delicious! The cake was adorable and our daughter was blown away and loved her cake!
A classic gem in downtown Tacoma! Love that they have so many gluten free options. Not pictured is my lemon lavendar cake that I adore. Can't wait to come back for another slice!
Corina Bakery has a wide selection of baked goods from pastries to cookies to cakes, as well as coffee and sandwiches. Their service is friendly and warm and there are plenty of seats both inside and outside the shop. When I visited Tacoma, I only had a croissant frankly it's rather mediocre, but I think croissants are not their strongest suit anyway and a peanut butter cookie crunchy and tasty, love it. Locals love it anyway, there was a line in the shop when the streets were mostly empty on a Sunday.
Ordered a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting for my husband and my goddess it was spectacular. I love supporting local business and this place is a must of you want any gluten free and vegan desserts.
