This has very quickly become our favourite local bar. The staff are amazing and the atmosphere is great. There is always a new drink to try and the gin is excellent. They have expanded their food offerings and all of them are very tasty as well. Definitely recommend this venue. In the summer it’s even more fun when they open up the patio.
Loved the ambience inside this place. They have some unique cocktails and even though we don't usually go for gin based cocktails, the ones here were refreshing. We were able to sit at the bar and were given great service. Everyone seemed very nice inside! Did not catch the bartenders name but she was super sweet and personable.
Absolutely amazing place to go! Delicious cocktails, they using their own craft gin. The hospitality is outstanding. Also music selection so lovely. Had a very good time. Must visit and get some bottles home. Will be back soon!!!
Great place to go for cocktails. Try a couple different cocktails and the Brie cheese food item. Everything was very good and seemed like high quality. Great place to try out if you want a nice cocktail and a great atmosphere.
Love Copperpenny Distilling. This is the place to be on the North Shore for a delicious cocktail, appy and a night out. Their gin is absolutely the best, bursting with the most lovely scents and flavor. It's beautifully decorated with great attention to detail clearly the owners have poured their heart and soul into this place and the ambiance was fun and relaxed. My friend and I had the best night out we've had in ages! Staff were lovely, very friendly and really just made it such a great night out - Thank you
Got a delightful sneak peek of the new Copperpenny Distillery, open Fridays and Saturdays in the Shipyard District. They use berry-forward juniper for their gin: smooth, unique and every ingredient as full of thought as the quirky, wood & brass & colorful decor. Try the figgy puddin' liqueur over ice cream, for sure! The Winter Old-Fashioned features their delicious Figgy Puddin liqueur for a unique, warming spice blend...and a beautiful presentation with that skeleton leaf! And Jan's Famous 20- Year Hangover Cesaer Cocktail was a deliciously refreshing take on this classic with their Social Project Gin 005, clamato, and fantastic spices, including on that salt rim! Thanks to Jan and Jen for sharing their craft and vision with us,
Old fashioned. Ice cold Pilsner. Summer Pims. Finally patio weather so we popped on down to the Copperpenny Distillery. Arrived around 5pm, Friday. We’re able to get a table on the patio. Within 30 minutes the place is packed! Jammin’ to 80s music in a comfortable, friendly casual environment. I have been watching the bartender and she is precise with her measurements, tastes her work before she serves it and has beautiful garnishes. She is also managing the customers sitting around the bar. All customers are greeted with a gin taster shot - it’s smooth and silky and I am not a fan of gin!. Really nice decor. We were a tad hungry so we shared pickles and dilly dip. It was a nice touch and looked really nice with a sprig of fresh dill and shake of paprika. I really wish they had more to offer other than pickles, potatoe chips and olives. I had two old fashion-sweet and both were excellent quality control on point and my partner had the beer served super cold and Pims. I will come back!
Mediterranean G & T hit the spot. The bartender knew quite a bit about Vancouver, which was nice since I was visiting from California. He suggested some Canadian experience type foods and restaurants. What I thought was unique about this spot is that there's no obvious sign so it's almost easy to drive past but the lights and lit atmosphere of the place draw your eyes in.
Really good atmosphere and great drinks. The gin was surprisingly good for a new distillery! They gave us a complimentary shot of gin with our cocktail which was a nice little cherry on top.
This is a gin bar with a menu packed with many kinds of gin cocktails. Nice ambiance and friendly staff. This is the place to go if you’re a gin fan or like to celebrate a birthday with gin. You might have to park a few block away especially in the weekends as Esplanade is not a parking friendly area. You should probably expect a 45-minute wait time in the weekend or when they are busy.
