My vehicle was at Copart-Ionia for 7 weeks. My first visit to make sure it was weather proofed showed me there was items missing from the vehicle. No one affiliated with Copart claimed any knowledge of where those parts were. On my second visit, with the assistance of the yard guy George, we found a missing wheel/tire combo in a discard pile. This was a new wheel/tire setup. 400 miles on it. Perfect condition that they removed from the rear seat and threw away. Matt in the office blamed it fully on the tow truck driver that brought my vehicle there. There were miscellaneous parts in the back of the vehicle that have never been found. After my insurance claim was settled, I bought the vehicle back. Still no parts that they removed. They are shady. They stole parts from my vehicle. No one cares. I’m out $600 for the missing parts. Good luck to you if you ever decide to buy a vehicle from them or get your vehicle back after a claim settlement
I have actually bought quite a few vehicles from copart over the years. 20 or so. However the customer service and general experience are quickly deteriorating. Car was listed as having keys and when it showed up it did not have any. I called but the answer was simple and that is they do not guarantee keys. I asked to speak to the lot or tow driver who took it to me but they would not provide that information. I just wanted to see if maybe one of them had the keys. It definitely will keep me from buying cars here again. No keys is a big deal on an Audi.
SO, Your vehicle deposit to bid on anything will be kept by Copart until you completely close down & cancel your Copart account. You CANNOT request a despot refund although, it does say you can and it also states a percentage will go toward your purchase, which is also False. I called and I learned the hard way so you don't have too!! Decent experience.. Other then a little Grey area i just found.
I would give this copart 0 its nasty and dirty employees are slower then slow 3 hours to pick up one car I don't even know what the point of the APPOINTMENT is if they can't ma8to load cars in timely manner just stay out off it if you can
I’ve been to many copart lots but this is absolutely the worst so crowded with too many vehicles in a huge mud lot both where you load and where they store cars.. had to drive my truck inside because they don’t load big vans with their forks.. lady at counter was nice and forklift driver was helpful but that lot has so many pot holes I ended up damaging my truck’s suspension..
3 Stars for the costumers service and loader drivers very nice people but the next 2 stars missing are becouse there are no public restrooms available this is very important to mention.Lack of sanitation violates the rights of road workers who arrive for a scheduled appointment and are unable to use the restrooms during their sometimes long wait in the yard. Maybe an outside portable toilet work. Thanks
I wish i could give this place negative stars. They told me they could not load me because they were too busy and i did not have an appointment. I was there at 11am, and not one person was in the parking lot. I was the only transporter there but because their appointments were all booked they would not help me. They had forklift drivers just standing there. I had my dispatch call them and they still told us no. I was literally the only person in the parking lot, but they told me they would not load me and were super rude about it. Had to leave without the car I drove 300 miles there to get. Worst Copart in the midwest.
I bought a 07 denali from here that said it ran and drove! I went to pick it up and go home to try and start it up and there was just oil flowing out of the engine! Sure enough there was a hole in the block. Didn’t even have it started and looks to be that the rod blew right through it. I called the manager 15 times to try and get something settled not even return the vehicle. But she said it was my fault for buying the vehicle not their fault for having it in their yard for 6 months. Don’t ever buy cars here this is a terrible copart!!! Would post pictures but it won’t let me
Purchased 2015 Audi A3 from the California Auction. Received S3 you would think it was great NOPE it was STRIPPED. We know this because THE TITLE CAME FROM EXCLUSIVE AUTO DISMANTLING. We made a complaint the day it arrived. We were told that nothing they could do. NO Keys and the sale said Keys where included. THEY WILL NOT FIX THE ISSUE and it was miss advertised. The pictures for the AUCTION were from angles not showing the missing items on the car and the complete swap of parts or dismantled items. Pathetic bunch of losers. We have had ZERO issues with IAAI. I will NEVER use these POS again. Appointment with our attorney coming next week. DONT BUY FROM THIS SCUM! We have emails from a regional manager agreeing it was wrong and they were looking into how to handle it. 3 weeks later UPPER LEVEL CORP. Manager says nope look on the members website that you have 24hrs to report title / vehicle discrepancy. I will drain every penny our business has to fight these POS, so that no one else is screwed by them. Kind of said the carrier driver said not what you expected and continued to say that groups of people in California ESPECIALLY do this. Buy from Auctions Dismantle the car for good parts throw in junk or missing parts and resell and pay at times the people to take certain pictures.
I've purchased multiple vehicles from Copart Ionia. Most of the purchases have gone smoothly. This last purchase not so much. Copart will fraudulently invoice your account. In my case they are invoicing me twice the $50 State of Michigan Title Processing Fee. I've made numerous phone calls to Copart with no remedy. Always told I had to speak with General Manager Dawn Stinson. Everytime time I call I'm told she's not in the office or is on vacation and no one else can help. Left her voice messages daily along with email and no responses. They have no customer service, buyers beware.
