Advertised exceptional soundproofing. We hear very footstep from above and they refuse to fix the problem. Thermal insulation is extremely poor with cold air coming in through the electrical outlets and baseboards. Windows freezing over in the winter. High heating bills. Overall quality not as originally represented. Beware!!

Great experience! We moved into our townhouse in 2014, and are satisfied with the finished product. The after sales technician, Pierre, has been most helpful with all issues and provided us with valuable information and quick fixes within the 1 year warranty. Even after, he takes my calls when i have questions concerning issues with my house. As a first time owner, i understand that problems will arise, but you cannot always blame the builder for every issue, aka a window cracking due to natural causes. This would probably be something you have to deal DIRECTLY with the manufacturer in my opinion. All in all, great experience and would recommend their products.

*BUYER BEWARE* I am Very unhappy with my experience of a broken window no longer covered in my new homeowner policy on a house I purchased with this contractor. I bought a new house with Montclair in may of 2012 and 20 some months after the purchase a huge crack appears on an inside window. Proper inspection reveals nothing hit or touched the window as its an INSIDE window. The APCHQ guarantees defective material up to one year and structural defects up to 4 years. Naturally the contractor points to this warranty as a shield and refers me to the sub contractor that did the installation and refuses to consider that perhaps there was a defect in the window and as a measure of goodwill consider paying for the window to be replaced or changed or at least fighting on my behalf with his subcontractor to get them to recognize that there was a defect in the window. A new window will cost me about $300.00 to repair/replace. I am concerned about other 'Thermal Breaks' that may happen down the road and I have also understood that I am not the only one that has had this issue in the past. Of other people have had this issue are all windows installed on Montclair properties of a sub par quality? Oh and trying to reach their customer service people was a pain, a voicemail system that offers very limited methods to contact someone with a general mailbox only and no replies to their website 'Contact us' form. I had to chase to get an answer from them.
