I love this park. Even though it’s not so big but it has its own vibes. There’s always something nice to do like festivals and music around. It has a small coffee place and sometimes you can find kiosks and small activities to do. It is a really nice place to chill and enjoy the nature in the middle of downtown.
Confederation Park is an urban green space that has great wide perspectives on surrounding buildings, a number of trees that provide shade on a hot day and plenty of benches to rest your weary feet after a walk through downtown. A totem pole, a couple of monuments honoring Canadian fighters, namely aboriginal- and Polish-Canadians, a beautiful water fountain and a few temporary art installations round up the things to see and enjoy in this smallish but memorable public park.
I have had many wonderful moments in this park, from listening to concerts for the jazz festival, to celebrating the completion of a half-marathon, to partaking in Canada Day festivities. A lovely part of the downtown core.
Nice little park to sit and relax when touring the parliament area, there's a cafe near the fountain where you can buy some snacks or a drink.
Beautiful Park to sit and relax at. They even have a little Cafe to buy a snack or a drink at. Very relaxing!
In Ottawa for a few days for outpatient treatments and decided to take a walk around the Parliament area and Sparks Street. Ended up walking along the canal and stumbled upon Confederation Park. What a nice area in downtown Ottawa this is and fairly quiet too. Took sometime to sit down and talk in this park while having a bottle of water from the Bistro takeout in the park. I think I’ll take another cruise downtown before I leave and walk abit more of the canal with another stop at this park!
Went exploring today, enjoyed the park and being able to see the geese and boats. Not always easy to maneuver around in a wheelchair near the canal but it was still worthwhile
Chill park on the city centre. Statues are all over with a fountain on the center. Some food trucks are here too.
Like that the terrain is relatively flat with no tricky holes in the grass. Also liked the paved path bordering the whole thing. Was able to navigate it without my Smart Drive. Wish I'd brought my water bottle. Couldn't reach the drinking fountain. Can buy it at the Bistro but water should be free! Great place to host Paint Fest! MUCH better than Parliament Hill! Not sure if the washrooms at City Hall were open. Would be another plus! Playground: I didn't see one. Restrooms: The port-a-potties were not accessible. Not sure if washrooms at City Hall were open. Hope so! Dog-friendliness: Lots of dogs.
Very nice and clean park in the middle of the city
