I love that this park is here. It's very close to my home and people are friendly. It's not fully fenced in so sometimes my dog runs over to other pups walking on the sidewalk but other wise it's nice. The whole park is cut in half by a fence. One side for dogs off leash and the other side has a park for kids and some grassy area. Seems to work well to keep he two areas separate.
My grandson was attacked a few weeks ago. Luckily no skin was punctured. A very sad day. The off leash dog side is not closed or fenced in therefore dogs can easily get into the children's playground area. This happens often. The city is now working on this issue. Hopefully it will be fenced in soon.
This park sits on top of the Combined Sewage Storage Tunnel that runs under Ottawa. It frequently reeks of the contents of said tunnel. It's also a great place to come and visualize the ineptitude of our city council's planning department in relation to the supposed 'park improvement to facilitate co-habitation': Remove all the benches from the playground, run a useless expensive fence down the middle of the park that doesn't solve the dog/kid problem. Pave over the only public road hockey court in the neighborhood with dying turf. Money well spent. If you have kids, or just don't like to linger in fumes from the toxic waste under the park, do yourself a favor and walk five minutes to a better park.
Small but in a quaint neighbourhood with lots of privacy, shade and a great park for unleashing your dog. Several benches are available for seating.
Should have been a completely fenced in large dog park n move the kids park a block down the street to the park space at cumberland and bruyere where the only people that currently occupy the space are homeless trying to sleep on the benches in an otherwise unused ugly park
A hidden pearl for parents and grandparents with young children. A bathing pool with a great play area. Perfect for Pool Birthday Parties!
Such a social dog park! Well separated from the children's area too.
I like going there it's a nice and quiet park
very quiet and cozy , plenty of shade and a lovely neighbourhood!
Good playground. But small and not appropriate for all ages.
