The new owner has really spruced things up! Rooms are very comfortable and newly renovated. Every effort was made to make our stay the best it could be. VERY reasonably priced and the service was awesome! Stayed for Thanksgiving weekend and also a weekend three months back. The new owner is continually making improvements to all the rooms.

The owner here is new. She is a very kind individual who made my stay here even more enjoyable. It may seem weird to give a small place five stars. But I keep in mind what I'm paying and what their offering. It was great! The room was nice, not huge, but nice. It was also VERY CLEAN. VERY VERY CLEAN. I work as a home cleaner in Calgary and she missed nothing. I was very impressed. But that doesn't mean the owner was miserable or picky either. She was super-welcoming and prompt with any request. She even volunteered to watch my dog while I got things out of my car! (My dog really liked her too :) ) The rate was totally reasonable. $75 for me and my dog (a German Shepard). And I only had to pay for the dog on the first night because of the extra cleaning time. Otherwise she only charged for me as a single person! Such a steal! And it's right in front of Commando Lake where they have these swans in the summer.. I don't give out five stars very often and there's been some places on this trip I refuse to rate because I don't want to be harsh. This definitely isn't one of them.

New owners at the Commando renovating rooms bathrooms carpets paint lots of upgrades new owners treat you like family very clean rooms check out the rates best in town

very shabby place... no towels in the room, hotel owner walked into our room and turned on the lights at 1am, tv turned on by itself at 5am, half finished beer on our doorstep in the morning, several dubious characters hanging around... DO NOT STAY HERE
