Auberge MacDonald Guest Inn

This is a very small, family run little hotel-motel kinda thing up in Iroquois Falls. The town is very peaceful, the only thing you have to worry about is bears. My mother and I visited one day during the solar storms in October of 2025 - this is the ONLY place I have been so far that, I walked outside as we were unloading the truck, looked up, and saw the Aurora Borealis right outside the front doors. Photos attached.nnThe staff are very kind and helpful, it's a very quiet hotel. Most of the visitors seem to be transient workers and occasionally truckers, so there were a grand total of zero screaming children during our stay. The Auberge MacDonald Guest Inn is also in the middle of prime hiking and fishing territory, unfortunately I forgot my fishing rod. Beautiful terrain, beautiful town, great prices, great service, friendly staff, 10/10. Even if it is right next to a street with an uncomfortably cursed name.

Clean, quiet and great space to park a truck and trailer if you are a snowmobiler!

Room were okay, old but okay, hotel and room has a smell of indian spices. Slept well.

Rooms were good except furniture too scratchy and seems very old. Bedsheets and towels were clean but seem yellowish as used for so long bedsheets only. Bathrooms were clean and nice. Enough parking space. Overall good experience and nice place to stay.

Very clean, nice owners , allowed us to use the garage for our hockey team meal.nOur hockey boys played mini sticks in the hallway. They weren’t very quiet but he didn’t care .
