My family and I were looking at a home to buy in Iriquos Falls. We drive 6.5 hours and went to the only motel in the area. While in the parking lot we were trying to google the area and a man approached us. He appeared irritated that we were there. I explained that we were looking to book rooms but needed a few minutes. He continued to appear irritated and went off to co tinge whatever he was doing. My mother in law is disabled and can not do stairs. We were looking at there site to figure out what our options are as we needed two rooms. A few minutes later then man appeared again and said either we book now or don't but he had things to do and won't wait for us. He was unwilling to answer any questions and seemed bothered by us. I travel alot and never have I experienced such poor customer service. We now didn't want to stay here and told him we are leaving.nnWhen you plan on moving to an area that you are unfamiliar with irs terrifying. You hope to find people who feel welcoming, compassionate and accommodating. Needless to say, this man did not st all make us feel that way. I would never recommend to anyone
Kenny & Hemi greeted us with smiles and eager to make our short stay enjoyable. The room was clean & inviting. We felt like one of their family members. The continental breakfast was always fresh. Coffee was available 24/7. Thumbs up.
Amazing! The staff were very accommodating, the rooms were spacious, quiet and CLEAN!! I was here for work for a weekend, and we even got to enjoy the BBQ. The parking was full and you couldn't hear a peep.
To start, I would like to say it’s very unfortunate this hotel is the only one in this town so they get to make up the rules they want. I was going to Iroquois Falls to visit for my daughter’s birthday, about a month before arrival I called and asked to book a room. The first thing I was asked was am I coming for a hockey tournament and when I said no the man proceeded to ask me “then why will you be coming” which in my opinion is none of his business… Then I mentioned that I did have my dog coming with me and he started asking about my dog , what breed is the dog, what does he weigh, when I’m asking for a simple yes or no if he accepts pets, it shouldn’t matter the breed or size of him as long as he’s a good dog that’s all that should matter. Now to the day of arrival, I arrive at hotel, and after I pay for the room and the deposit, sign the papers I’m about to go get my dog and the owner then tells me I have to keep my dog with me at all times and if I leave him in the room for anytime at all he will be calling animal control and having us removed from the hotel… I asked is this a law and he said “yes this is an Ontario law” which I researched and found out, it is not a law but as the owner he can make these rules which I understand but he lied and said it’s an Ontario law. I had to keep my dog in the car during my daughter’s 4 hour birthday party because my child’s mother has two other male dogs and if I knew I couldn’t have left him in the room for the day or the birthday I wouldn’t have stayed. The reason I needed the hotel was for the fact she had two male dogs and my dog is also male and we didn’t want any issues with 15 children there. I will never be staying there again I would rather make the drive to Timmins then spend another night there.
They were very nice and accommodating! We were in town for a hockey weekend, and normally hotels don’t like the chaos we bring, but they were so welcoming to us all.nBest hotel experience on a hockey weekend, the kids all said it was their favourite hotel of the season.nRooms are on the smaller side, but clean and comfy.
