My appointment today was such a pleasant experience. The facility is extremely clean & modern, check-in process was simple & I barely waited 5 minutes until I got called in. Dr. Adam Makkawi & his nurse made my visit feel like it mattered. Dr. Makkawi was very pleasant to talk to & was very thorough in coming up with a plan of care for my specific needs. He made sure to answer all of my questions & took his time to make sure I was receiving the appropriate care. His nurse was also very pleasant to talk to & made sure I was taken care of as well. Overall I feel very uplifted & satisfied with my visit today and I feel very confident that my health is in good hands with Dr. Makkawi & his team!
As soon as we pass the door we feel welcoming. Stacey, the Radiology Dpt receptionist, shows genuine emphaty, she is very caring and professional. The Nurses and the Drs are very professional and clear when give you information. I wish them the best.
The experience itself was fine, but I have been waiting almost a week now for my results to be sent to my doctor. I have called twice and am writing this as I am currently being forgotten on hold. The receptionist picked up my call while laughing with colleagues. I told her I had a sonogram done, was anxious to hear my results as there is a mass in my stomach. Through laughter and distracted conversation, she put me on hold and has yet to come back - it's been 6 minutes. I HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere. The people who work here do not care about you or have any sense of urgency or compassion.
This office has no respect for patients. Nobody is ever on time. But you’re expected to be on time otherwise they cancel your appointment. Avoid Colombia at all costs.
I have been a patient of Dr. Saulle, at Columbia Doctors, Tarrytown, for several months now. He is a kind, caring doctor, who takes time to explain test results & treatment plans in detail, on a level that makes it easy to understand. His experience & knowledge is evident in evaluating my concerns. In conjunction with Columbia's Physical Therapy department, they have worked together, addressing such concerns with my back, neck, & knees. My outcomes, to date, have been excellent in alleviating pain & increased motion & flexibility. I am impressed with how smoothly Dr. Saulle's office is run; have not experienced wait times & always feel welcomed, never rushed. He addresses all my questions nicely. Testing & treatment options are clearly offered, & he has a gentle, calming, manner that puts me at ease. I feel 100% confident in recommending Dr. Saulle, based upon my positive experiences with him, regarding my various orthopedic issues. I have had multiple experiences with physical therapy, addressing cervical, back, & knee issues. Currently, I am a patient at Columbia Physical Therapy, in Tarrytown, & am very pleased with the care that I am receiving. Rebekah, is an excellent therapist, outstanding in her ability to identify areas in need of attention, & has a magic touch in reducing muscle pain & tension. Rebekah is a very kind, empathetic, person, who listens carefully to your areas of concern. Along, with her vast knowledge & experience, she is able to evaluate & address your pain & discomfort. The customized treatment plan, of targeted exercises, has been extremely helpful in alleviating pain in my neck & lower back. I have noticed substantial improvement in pain reduction, & have learned through my exercise plan how to regain strength & motion. The Columbia PT office is very welcoming. You are met with a warm smile every time, from Darlene & Mikaella. They are helpful with scheduling, & ensure copies of your home plan, & future visits are printed before leaving. I began my physical therapy while intern graduate student Serena, was working with Rebekah. As this was the beginning of Serena’s career, I was very impressed with her knowledge. She was very easy to talk with, & did an excellent job. I wish her good luck as she proceeds in the future. Based upon my experience here, I would 100% recommend Rebekah, & Columbia Physical Therapy.
Very professional. Neurosurgery and anesthesia are phenomenal. Radiology is timely and staff was great. Two for two excellent practitioners on the diagnostics and treatment plans, quickly due to the urgency of the matter.
Was ok had an abdominal sonogram today , front desk staff was nice and the test was performed by the very unfriendly socially distant radiologist. I have found other radiology places much nicer and the staff performing the tests actually care about there job,
I found the receptionists to be polite there was not a long wait time. I did not get the impression that the person performing the MRI cared much about me as a patient or his job. I found the person to be cold and distant.
I was diagnosed with a hydrocephalus, by a superb Columbia Dr. Neurologist. My old doctor had let me struggle with the problem for 5 years. He totally missed the diagnosis. I had a shunt installed at Lawrence Hosital, by an exceptional surgeon. It cured my problem and gave me back my intellect. I love Columbia Doctors. They teach. They know. They succeed! Great people. Thank you!
Poorly attended and had to wait 30 minutes for an MRI with appointment made 3 weeks in advance. When my turn arrived, I was told to present a prescription from my doctor at Columbia that nobody told me I should bring with me. They couldn’t verify within the Columbia University Hospital that I was prescribed an MRI so had to leave and reschedule for a different day and time
