If you want a tranquil getaway this is the place. There's a paved walk path that lets you enjoy the river with all the lovely flowers and song birds. Our family of 3 were in a cozy little cabin at the edge of the river. The bathroom is tiny tho, it made me feel as though I was using a lavatory in an airplane so keep that in mind if you get claustrophobic. It's out in nature so don't be shocked to find some visiting your cabin. It was wonderful walking to all the cute shops and resturants. The locals are wonderful and unlike some other small towns they do not resent the tourists. Oh, and if you love fishing or kayaking you would be in heaven.
Location, location, location! We were literally feet from the Columbia River! We loved it! Our room was very nice. It had everything we needed. There is a park on both sides of the property. A lot going on with the foil boards, sail boards, and parasailing boards. The whole community joins in these parks to sail on the river. It was so interesting. Everything is walkable. Restaurants, bars, and coffee. What more could you want? Definitely worth staying here if you can get a reservation. Also, the farmers market is right next door. Loved it!
Loved it. Stayed in the Spruce Cabin #1, which is right on the river and may be the only cabin with a hot tub on the deck. It's perfect. It's beyond perfect. It's heaven.nnTrains are not a factor. They do pass close by, but they are neither loud nor intrusive. This place is great. Especially the spruce cabin #1 on the river. I can't recommend it highly enough.nnIt's literally a few steps from the Columbia River, and a few walkable blocks from the fun shops and good restaurants in Stevenson WA. The cabin is rustic, but has all amentities, including a fullish kitchen, beds for 6, gorgeous/private views, and a location that's perfect for hiking the gorge waterfalls esp. WA side.nnThe location is amazing. A park is adjacent, which feels like your own. Walk down into the cold river, and back to the hot tub on the deck. Just watch out for the goose poop!nnFYI; i don't think any other cabins are as good as the #1 Spruce.nThey don't have a hot tub on their deck or the unobstructed view. They're still great, and a good location, but our stay in the Spruce Cabin was one of a kind.
Perfect cabin at the edge of the Columbia River, fire pit and private hot tub included. It was roomy, comfortable, fully stocked and we LOVED having a kitchenette for breakfast. Morning coffee on the deck at the river’s edge watching the world wake up was 100%.nThe trains didn’t bother us once while sleeping, but The Spruce is tucked further back behind others. I could have stayed a full week to explore the area. Loved the location.
My family stayed here for a couple nights as we attended a wedding nearby. The cabins were cozy, clean, and comfortable. I can’t speak to the service because we weren’t there long enough for it to be needed, but there was plenty of toiletries, a coffee machine with coffee/cream available, wifi, strong AC, and even a record player. The surrounding area was beautiful and right down the street from a restaurant we all enjoyed. Our only complaint was that my parent’s cabin was much smaller than the one my sibling and I had, and they found the bathroom slightly claustrophobic.
