We’ve been coming to this hidden gem of a restaurant for years. Every time we’re in the area, this is always the one place we always go to. They have the most authentic food and the beans…the beans are AMAZING! The most delicious thing I have ever had. Plus all the servers are so friendly and nice.
The food here was excellent! Get the sopes if you can - it was my favorite dish we tried. The service was good and the food came out pretty fast. The atmosphere is simple looks like an old diner, but the food makes up for it.Food: 5/5

Delicious Authentic food. Amazing people. The price of the food is good. The Michelada was very good. The coffee was very good. The other drinks I wouldn’t know. I didn’t try them. The BEANS were sooo good. Finally a place with good beans. I am from Chicago, near Midway and we have MANY like 50 Mexican restaurants with a 1 mile radius. I would say that this restaurant would easily make it to the top 3. The cook Carlos is very passionate about his cooking and it shows in the quality of the food. We visited this restaurant about 6 times during our 6 day stay in Wisconsin Dells. I will definitely visit again next year.

Ive never written a review before but I had to express my feelings for this restaurant, the food is amazing, it has so much flavor and a good amount of food, I ordered gorditas and they were some of the best I tried, theyre a bit small but full of flavor, the beans are also really good, Im picky with the type of beans I like but these were delicious, and the combination with the rice was amazing, the rice was also very yummy. The workers are full with personality, the owner was very friendly towards us. Overall I was very pleasant with the experience. 10/10 recommended
Colotlan provided a taste of home for this Texas at work in Wisconsin. Both the salsa verse and salsa rojo provided nice heat with good flavor. Jarritos was served ice cold. Ordered enchiladas and the chile gravy was flavorful and just the right amount of cheese. I don't like when enchiladas are covered with too much cheese. Beef was mixed with onions and chile peppers and had a great taste. Refried beans were homemade and with tons of flavor. Owner was working the kitchen and greeted everyone wirh a smile!
We were craving authentic Mexican tacos and this place didn’t disappoint. Small quaint restaurant downtown. No bells and whistles kind of place but amazing service and delicious food. Definitely our favorite and my kids are picky

I work every day in the downtown dells area.......... How is it that it has high reviews but is never open.........? the county health department has been observing the place for a long, long time but as soon as it opens up for a day it then closes for months.......... is this business a front for illegal activities?
