The best French bistro in Ottawa. The foods were very delicious. The plating was beautiful as well. Maybe will be the No.1 in Ottawa in a couple of years.
Came here for brunch and had a great experience. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of The Metcalfe Hotel, and the interior is beautifully decorated. The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. I appreciated how while this is a French bistro, their menu had local influences, including a poutine dish and several dishes featuring Montreal bagels. I ordered the MTL Benedict, which is eggs benedict with smoked salmon served on Montreal bagels, and it was excellent. The presentation was nice, the food tasted good, and the portion size was just right. Would love to come back and try their dinner some time. I would definitely recommend this as a solid brunch option in downtown Ottawa!
Checked out this new spot for drinks and a snack, was super impressed! Its a beautiful space inside the Metcalfe Hotel, gorgeous furnishings and loved our table. The service was sweet and attentive. Felt very taken care of. Will be back!
20221230 We really enjoyed our X'mas/NewYear celebration at the Cocotte Bistro. Our bouillabaisse was very tasty with lots of seafood, and the desserts Ottawa-Brest & crime brûlée were both excellent. We were especially impressed by our waitress, who was kind, attentive & professional. The Bistro is located inside the downtown Metcalfe Hotel and is within a 5-10 min walk from Parliament Hill. Excellent menu and wine list. Everything we ordered was delicious. David and Mallory provided amazing service and made our first visit memorable. We will definitely be back!
Overpriced service average. We went early there was very few clients and the server were chatting with each other. We had to ask for me water, did not offer more wine. Food was okay but not the best. Decor and ambiance was good. Freshly renovated. Parking: Valet parking available
