I don't know what website people are looking at, but Cobequid is NOT open on weekends for Blood Work. EVER. MONDAY-FRIDAY ONLY!! 
Every site I've looked at clearly states this. So not sure why people keep trying to say otherwise.

We are Americans on vacation in Halifax, when we had a medical emergency.  Staff at the Alt Hotel were fantastic in support, ensuring we made it to Cobequid Health Center at 10 pm on a Friday.  The Health Center staff members were uniformly professional, welcoming, kind and I was seen in less than 10 minutes.  The doctor (Dr. McGuire) was prompt, efficient, compassionate, and went above and beyond to ensure I received the care I needed.  We were impressed with everything about the visit, including the Canadian health system.  Five stars from us.

The ER staff were quick, compassionate and provided exceptional care during my 8 March visit. A big thank you to Nurse Joan, Dr. Schlosser and Nurse Rosanne.  

My heart issue turned out to be a  minor
