Just visited today and consulted with Dr. Bhalla, alongside Clinical Practitioner, Linda and Student Nurse, Chad. They were all so lovely, friendly, attentive and provided detailed information on my case and actually helped us to understand and re-evaluate my illness and advice on my treatment plan. The front-desk staff were amazing. They even suggested me to get blister packs for my medicines which is going to help me with taking them regularly. Highly recommend visiting them!
There are a couple nice secretaries and nurses but the rest are absolutely horrible. Basically their "trauma informed" therapy involves shaming you because CBT/DBT doesn't work and then "booking an appointment 2 months to see if things will get better" when "breathwork" doesn't do anything for mental illnesses. Oh and your clinician will be an inept occupational therapist who's "professional expertise" involves less then a year of training and will lie on your charts.
I asked if I could see another psychiatrist in 2019 because I just wasn't jiving with the one I saw not a good fit at all from a patient / doctor perspective. That was 2019. Still waiting on a response from the secretary. Stellar patient care.
Front Desk people are nice. Therapist are unsure how to treat people seeking help, never remember previous meetings, and are not accountable for what they say during meetings. Had to have people attend to hold them accountable during meetings, then after two meetings with someone with me; therapist shut down my support team coming with me. Phycologist had very quick assessment that left me with an improper diagnosis. Supervisor wouldn't handle multiple complaints about therapist; and gave the therapist authority to deal with the issue instead of the supervisor. Supervisor wouldn't bring issues to management. Patient relations unable to help provide better service when communicating with Bayers rd. They will not speak to the ombudsman who is trying to speak to them after me bringing concern to their attention. They have contacted my doctor stating there is no further help they can provide. Which the hospital has referred me to because the hospital itself can not help me.
The front desk is always helpful and welcoming. The Dr. that we have come to know, is always professional and kind. She is always efficient, and has done whatever it has taken to assure us that our loved one is getting the best care possible. However...I do believe that there should be someone to take all incoming calls during your working hours. Hearing that human on the other end would be reassuring for all.
100% Incompetent people who don't care at all. After 5 appointments, I have nothing to show for it. Lots of talk but nothing ever gets done. I can't see a doctor, just a registered nurse over and over again who can't write prescriptions and has no experience with sleep disorders. It's been months and months of this. I need to file a complaint with the health department about these people, they are TERRIBLE at their jobs. I've also been lied to about them contacting my family doctor. One person has claimed to talk to my family Dr. three times and he's never heard from them. Take notes in your appointments so you have the facts to file complaints against them when they fail you time and time again.
I have POA and Alternate Decision maker status for my daughter, diagnosed with developmental delay, and PTSD, and Dissociation. In April 2017, I was told by the assessing psychiatrist that she would send a direction sheet to my daughter's family doctor on how to slowly remove all anti-psychotics, and mental health medications, that were a band-aid system of meds given at the emergency hospital visits - dissociation is typically not treated with anti-psychotics. However, after several attempts to have this medication direction sheet actually sent - never arrived! The directions were to arrive at the family doctor by May ... in is now September. No surprise to me though as I have two adopted daughters with mental health issues ... I think a great deal of mental health stigma generation lies within the medical profession itself - and the dysfunction of their network system.
Friendly staff for the most part. If you call in and get Tracey though expect her to sound rude. Man who does reception in person is nice however.
Have also had past ongoing negative experiences with the woman at the front deskdescrpition given this way because she was the only women working at the desk, at the time not related to being able to understand her or not, just her being outright rude & dismissive of me.
