Coast High Country Inn

Love to stay at this place. It's rooms are comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a suite with a hot tub. It is well worth the money for a weekend getaway. The banquet rooms are spacious and the catering is delicious.

Comfortable rooms. Soft bed. Little shower and bathroom; great for smaller individuals. Nice place to stay. Staff was professional and friendly both at check in and check out. Look forward to staying there again.

Good place to stay, but not great. The room itself was fine and the bed was comfortable. Location was decent. My biggest complaint - The bathroom was TINY. We had a shower only room and the shower was itty bitty - like the smallest I have ever seen in a hotel. I'm a tiny person and still found it annoyingly difficult to get a shower in. Then, when you got out, you had to squeeze past the toilet to close the shower door or get to your towel. The handle on the toilet was under a counter and not easy to reach. I suppose there is not a lot they can do about it but just be aware. If you are a larger person you might consider a room with a tub. Our friends had a room with one one night of our stay and were very happy with the room that night. Bathroom was also dated and wallpaper was peeling. The main room seemed to be fine and more updated. I appreciated the large refillable soaps, etc in the bathrooms vs the minis in some hotels - much more Eco friendly! I recommend skipping the breakfast in the hotel if you stay here. We got there at 8 when they opened and it was still super slow. We needed to be at the train station for nine and almost didn't make it in time. It took us well over 30 minutes to get our food. My food was terrible (I had the berry crepes - bland, cold, and tasted like they had been made the day before and refrigerated), our friends was fine, but it's difficult to mess up eggs and toast. My husband had the French toast and said it was good. So a bit of a mix. If you're up for going out, Burnt Toast on Main St was excellent. We were all very happy with out food there and it was much quicker.

Nice and clean rooms, beds are very comfortable. The hotel staff is really friendly and very helpful. The location is confenient as well, a little bit outside of the center, thus more quiet, but everything in walking distance. We actually had a nice view at the Yukon and the Klondike. Parking is available and a grocery store is near by at the Riverside Park. Would stay there definitively again!

The location was close to a great running trail and the river. The rooms were clean and tidy. Great ideas like pump soap dispensers for shampoo and conditioner instead of small plastic bottles was a great idea
