Club 649

What a horrible event Nov 11th, 2022 was, careless owner, to say the least. Apparently frauding us into paying a cover charge when we rightfully shouldn’t have, was more important than to reimburse us once it was proven that we came from the Marc-Anthony concert. The lack of empathy, customer service skills and business decision from the owner Sandra was terribly disappointing, unfair and unreasonable. I could have over looked the poor quality drinks we had, slow service and mediocre music however instead I’m left with a distasteful experience with Club 649, Latin Groove and will be sure to never go there again or recommend this venue for Latin dancing to anyone. Shame on you Latin Groove - 649 for wronging your clients. After I confronted the owner in peaceful manner trying to explain the situation, she still refused to make the correction and gave ridiculous excuses only an unprofessional, ignorant person would. This is a terrible venue for Latin Dancing, which will be sure to leave you displeased in one way or another.

My friend and I went on a Monday night where they give salsa lessons, for the price of 7$ at the door. The class and teacher were really fun. However, they kept my bottle of water at the door, and the owner/bartender wouldn't give us glasses of water when we asked, even after we purchased a bottle of water for the astronomical price of 4$. And on top of that, there is only hot water in the bathroom. Would definitely not go back.

Fun place to come and dance, plenty of people at all levels who come to dance. The only thing I wasn’t too fond of was the waiter who insisted I tip him after giving him a tip once already. After bringing around the second round of drinks he just stood there and said “are you not going to tip me?”. Aside from that it’s a decent place.

Classes are great but the service is horrible, paid 7$ to get in which is fair but 4$ for a water bottle and the guy at the bar wouldn't wanna refill it, said to go get it in the nasty bathrooms that only had hot water, gave me one small glass of water and didnt want to give me another one. So many places to learn salsa in montréal, definitely won't come back again.

Beautiful place with great people! My friends and i had such an amazing time dancing salsa and bachata! Everyone Is super nice to begginers and are willing to teach on the spot. Thank you for the lovely time!

Nice place but it tends to get too packed which is a little disappointing. The worst part is when the bartender steals my change for his tip. The big guy I'm referring to. My change was coldly taken from me. I would return for sure but just would be more careful next time

This place is usually full on Saturday night predominantly with a Latin crowd. Salsa, bachata and kizomba dance lessons most nights of the week. Relatively small place with a low and sinking? ceiling.

Great place to go and practice your salsa moves during the week, Tuesday nights is Kizomba nights. Needs to be updated the club looks old and shabby... out of date

Friendly place, very big dance floor, great music, it seems the only negative comments here about this place are from the cheapskates who do not tip. If you are looking for a safe club in the heart of Montreal to dance the night away to latin music, this is the place

Went on Friday but was mostly empty prolly because of another event happening at same time....lots of seats, decent size dance floor, good sound system, two bars, friendly staff.
