My husband and I took the Clipper for the first time as an anniversary trip to Victoria. It was a very pleasant experience and we would encourage others to do the same.
We sat on the upper and lower decks. If you sit near a window you feel the sway of the boat much more then if you sit in the center seats. It was good to get there an hour early for seating is not reserved. There was plenty of leg room even for my 6.2 husband. The seats are comfortable.
The stewarts were all very professional and helpful. We were surprised by the nice variety of food and snack options. The stewards take your order and then bring you the items in a timely manner.
Beware to prepare yourself if you have a tendency towards motion sickness. It's needed 15 minutes before launch. The Clipper offers a natural remedy food bar for $5 or a free tablet.
FYI our homeward bound trip was delayed by 3 hours so just realize that delays may happen. Luckily it wasn't cancelled due to the heavy rainy winds. Just plan accordingly and you'll have fun.

This is the best way to get to Seattle from the island. Walk on and sit down, the friendly staff will do the rest! I appreciated the free motion sickness tablets, as the water can be a little rough at times. The food has improved greatly, and they have a decent beer selection on board. The cafe on the Seattle side is very handy for those early morning trips back to Victoria, as there doesn't seem to be much open that early.

Took a one-night trip from Seattle to Victoria and back on the Victoria Clipper. Overall a good experience with friendly staff and a beautiful, scenic ferry ride, but on the trip to Victoria for some reason my family was seated in different boarding groups, even though we had all booked out tickets together. This was only a minor inconvenience because we only boarded separately and were able to sit together, but I was confused as to why it happened since we booked our tickets as a group.

Easy way to get from Seattle to Victoria with friendly staff and wonderful views along the way. The crowds and delays during peak season make it a bit less enjoyable. If you can afford the float plane it is the better option for convenience but this is second best.
