A nice clean and quiet campground. All of the sites have water and electrical hook ups, picnic tables and fire pits. The sites are spacious and well maintained. There is a dump station on the premises. It is also a pet friendly campground. It also has 2 public restroom buildings with showers.
Sites are very spacious and restrooms are clean. We stayed 2 nights for family reunions. This campground was party central! A list of rules which many people weren't following. Loud music and groups of tent campers up parting until 2-3am both Fri and Sat night. Dogs running around off leash and children unattended! Yes unattended. Not sure why they have a camp host since they did nothing. Campground seemed like a free for all. Not sure we'd come back here. Maybe I expected to much from a county park.
Nice state park campground, family friendly, good for a weekend camping trip. Do not recommend Trail to Lake Michigan--not very well traveled so bugs and in the woods. About an hour to Milwaukee. Verizon service spotty.
Huge campsites and very clean and quiet even when campground is full. Cool trails that will take you to the cliffs. Only thing I believe they can improve on is the stall doors have large gaps. Overall, highly recommend and be sure to stop by the little farm down the street!
Another hidden gem! Cliffside Park is a spacious, quiet, and clean. We met the Camp Hosts on Sunday and they were very kind. Bathhouses were clean. The grounds are well kept. Our sight was level also and easy to back in and set up. You are about 10-15 minutes from the public beach in Racine so we had a great beach day. There are several local places to grab firewood too at a good price. We will be back!
There is no privacy between sites. The sites across from us had 2 black labs that were not tied ups and keeping barking and running up to people. We tried to change our site but no one would answer at the office even though they were supposed to be open till 4:30.
It was nice and clean but NO privacy. It's not camp it's more like a park. The staff was really nice.
Nice campground, but not quite great. The sites have plenty of space and are mostly level. Some of the spaces have the water faucets a long distance from the site that some people could not reach with their normal hose. There are also ant issues, so make sure that you treat any part of your RV that connects with the ground, including the power cord.
Very well kept. Clean bathrooms. Nice playgrounds. Decent prices and kind employees. Spacious camping areas. Kind campers, mostly older people, some families. We were the only ones with a pop up camper but that didn't bother me . Close to several things in the area like a gas station, liquor store...Walgreens is 5 mins away. It's right on the lake, about a mile walk front the camp grounds to the water. We did not get around to that this time but we will be back next time and on the trails!
I love this campground. I have been going here for many years. Clean bathrooms close to home so if someone can't get out of work they can still participate. Caretakers are decent and leave you along as long as you follow the rules. My review is one star short only because the electricity is spotty. Some spots have good consistent power and some have breakers that pop constantly. I have had the same setup for years so my power usage remains the same so it is trial and error for sure. Unfortunately it is usually full so if you power is not consistent you have no where to move.
