The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA) is a nonprofit, organization dedicated to serving the needs of legal professionals in Greater Cleveland.

Story

The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA) is a nonprofit, organization dedicated to serving the needs of legal professionals in Greater Cleveland. A voluntary membership organization, our members include attorneys and judges, law students, paralegals, and other business professionals. We work to advance the greater Cleveland legal community as a world-class center of professional excellence and model of community service.

We are also the home of nationally recognized "Lawyers Giving Back" public outreach and pro bono legal service programs, funded by our Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation. The Foundation's tagline - "Lawyers Giving Back" - captures the spirit behind the hard work of our volunteers and Foundation to serve our community well. The Foundation raises funds to support the important public outreach activities of the Association, including a variety of pro bono legal service, law-related education, tutoring and mentoring programs. Additionally, the Foundation assists with the Association’s diversity initiatives aimed at improving the pipeline of minority students entering the legal profession.

"To protect the health and safety of our staff and members, CMBA will be operating mostly from outside of our offices starting on Monday, March 16th. We will still take your calls, answer your questions and bring our members together remotely, even if we won't meet face to face. Our lawyer referral service remains fully operational. Upcoming CLE programs may be presented as streaming webinars, all for full CLE credit."
