CLC was instrumental in building my confidence in French, and they were exactly what I was looking for in a language school! As someone who has taken French in a classroom setting for years, I had a basic foundation but lacked enough confidence with speaking. Upon moving to Montreal, I knew that I wanted to mainly practice oral communication and gain confidence with the language. With a variety of teachers and subjects, I spent ~5 weeks at CLC through the Fluent 23 course. I loved the instruction that was provided and felt my confidence blossom throughout my time there. CLC were supportive even when I was pulled away from classes due to unrelated conflict. This school is streamlined and professional, yet their classes have a unique vibrancy. They definitely fulfilled my expectations and I would take classes here again in the future!
Loved my classes with CLC! The convenience of online classes was such a plus! I took both group and private classes; all were lots of fun . Group classes were very small. Teachers are patient and qualified! They came prepared with grammar points appropriate to my Advanced level, then adjusted on the spot depending on the errors I made and my language goals in general I need French at times for work, for example. I've definitely improved my French, and have a lot of notes to study! I look forward to one day studying with some of my favorite teachers in person in Montreal!
I'm having a great time with the Japanese teachers at CLC! The teachers are very adept at picking up where the class' weaknesses are and know what we have to practice. Each class is very interactive, there is no chance for me to daydream! I appreciate the speaking, reading and writing practice. I am feeling more confident after doing CLC Japanese courses for 3 months!
My experience in CLC has been SUPER SATISFACTORY! I took the course "intensive 20" for one month to improve my French level. The thing I appreciated the most is the fact that the course is mainly focused on speaking so you have the opportunity to improve practicing a lot the speaking. The professors are ready to correct you and go deeper into grammar topics the moment you make mistakes so they really focus on what you are deficient in. This avoids lecturing and wasting time on grammar topics or subjects that you already know. In addition, you have the opportunity to lecture with many different professors and this helps you experience the language according to different ways of speaking and teaching it. I think this is one more element that this school can offer you. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND taking a course at CLC because in just a few weeks I was able to improve my French and become fluent. I overcame my fear in speaking it but rather I was spurred into using it without hesitation!
Great plane to learn French. Love my teachers enthusiasm, this makes the lessons fly by. Learning in a small group is helpful as the other learners also teach you some things
Wonderful school with very accommodating support staff to help you modify your schedule so that you can succeed! Would definitely recommend!
I am so happy I chose CLC. I am currently enrolled in speak 4 french. 4 hours a week, the classes are oriented towards speaking, every day situations, for you to feel confident in your everyday activities in this beautiful french speaking city. The professors are excellent very knowledgeable and eager to help. Groups are small and that is perfect for rapid advancement. Great quality and price!
Really great boutique language I've been using to learn French. Most of the teachers are young, professional, and fun, which gives a modern and casual feel to the learning experience that most users seem to really enjoy. They have also found their footing really well during COVID in transitioning to online learning, so I've continued using them since moving away from Montreal. Thanks again team, really means a lot.
I attended class here for 6 weeks and had a great experience. My teachers Philipe, Christoph and Farida were very knowledgeable and helpful. I learned a lot and highly recommend studying here!
As a South African, and someone who couldn't speak a word of French, I feel like I need to state how amazing this school is. I started with my part time classes at CLC in September 2020 as a beginner. I had to obtain a B2 level 8 oral level for immigration in Quebec. With the help of the school and the teachers, I was able to do that within 1 year. In additon to passing my TEFAQ oral exam the first time, I met incredible people and friends who continue my learning journey with me. CLC makes learning French fun and I never thought I would have the confidence to speak and connect with people using a completely different language.
