Clearly another depressing place at the heart of city. Really makes one wonder why these structures are still around or if this is a clear sign of where our economy is heading to. Many closed shops, stalls for lease, and some homeless near by. Relatively safe during day time
Its my first time here, I didn't know we have this mall despite living here for 10yrs+. Although the structure looks modern, the building is dead and empty. Lots of security guards and surprisingly a lot of entrances. The A&W was a bit dirty, large area, and depressing.
Cityplace Winnipeg has been around for over 30+ years & half a dozen remodels since the mid 1980s... Once the original home to Eaton's Mail order & Home Delivery has grown into an entertainment venue center for the Winnipeg Jets, Shopping Center, Entertainment Hub and World Class Media Center playing host to Stanley Cup Playoffs on several occasions...
Pretty cool place for grabbing essentials and a good bite. It’s clean and the selection of stores is sufficient. The big surprise is the food court. Highly recommended, lots of selection to choose from. Another plus about city place is how well connected it is. It’s connected to Bell MTS Place, Portage Shopping Center and The Bay. It’s also connected to the library. So it’s very accessible and easy to get to as there are a ton of bus stops all around.
Barely any stores an empty space. Good for coffee outings
