CFO Park is the largest and most well-known mall in Winnipeg located at 1485 Portage Ave. in the St. James area of the city. This is a two-story mall with every type of retail store, one would want – Harry Rosen, Aldo, Lululemon, Apple Store, Tim Hortons, college spring, bikini village, RW and co, JD sports, Best Buy, express, Sephora, Scotiabank, lush, fresh, handmade cosmetics, northern reflections, and many others. They also have a large food court on the second floor with many restaurants, such as A&W, New York fries, taco time, Subway, Opa, as well as a few Asian restaurants.nnThere’s plenty of parking and the mall is open seven days a week. Great place to take the family and shop.
I would probably not suggest walking to the mall. I did that when there was a lot of snow, melting, and the sidewalks were just terrible.nnThe mall has everything though. I think it is the largest and perhaps the only big mall in Manitoba. It has an Apple Store and everything else you would want to see. I think you can literally get everything except for groceries there.nnIt’s a bit of an oasis compared to all of the strip walls around. Within a few blocks, they’re actually three Dollarama stores which kind of tells you about the neighborhood.nnBasically, if you need to pick up something, just go to Polo Park and you’ll find it.nnThis is also the place where I rode my first escalator when I was four or five years old and apparently I did not want to stop.
The shopping mall in Winnipeg. This mall has the most modernized facilities in the entire city. It's probably part of the CF standard across the nation. Overall very clean, strong AC, and mixed with modernized customers. The mall also feels safe compared to some other locations in the city. Has a lot of big box stores and a reasonable food court.
Polo Park is one of Winnipeg’s most well-known malls. However, entering through the main doors can be a bit unpleasant, as there’s a strong smell of frying coming from the upstairs food court. One of the highlights of the mall is the Apple Store, which you won’t find in any other location in the city. You’ll also find popular shops like Zara, Roots, Eddie Bauer, Victoria’s Secret, MAC, Sephora, and many more.nnDespite the smell at the entrance, it’s still a good place to walk around and browse stores, especially during Winnipeg’s cold winter.
This mall has always been my go-to since I have lived either north or west of it my whole life. It is much larger than Garden City Shopping Centre. I usually have pleasant experiences as the location seems well managed.
