Cineplex Odeon Clarington Place Cinemas

Clean, friendly staff and good selection of items for purchase. As with any movie theatre, the price is high but if you go often enough, you should purchase CineClub and get 20% off concession. This is our go to theatre as we love the recliners.

Came out last Friday night with a few friends for a late showing and honestly had a great time - the seats in the auditorium were surprisingly comfortable and roomy compared to other theaters I've been to. The popcorn was fresh and they had a solid selection of snacks at the concession stand, which as someone who takes their food seriously, I actually appreciated. Parking was a total breeze with plenty of spots right out front, no circling around like some places downtown. Would definitely make the drive out to Bowmanville again for a movie night, it was a solid evening all around.

Nice theatre. We saw Jurassic world Rebirth in the theatre with the reclining seats. They were comfortable and you got lots of leg room in front of you. The sound was not too loud and the air conditioning was on not to high. We had to use the machine to buy our tickets and the popcorn deal. We brought it with us to claim the popcorn, drink and candy bar package $25. The washroom had lots of Stalls. The staff were friendly. I have no complaints. We had a good time.

Fair warning to anyone who has not yet been to this theatre: the seating area is flat and the screen feels very far away. I would suggest going to the Oshawa theatre instead. As per most movie theatres these days, it's also way overpriced the markup on popcorn is WILD. I will give a shout-out to the staff, though. They were very kind, issued a refund very quickly, and probably deserve better pay.

The staff was very helpful and friendly but the reclining chairs were not comfortable at all. My back and neck hurt the whole time. Won’t be going back though until nfortunately because the staff were amazing!!
