Cineplex Cinemas Empress Walk

This Cineplex is one of my favorites most likely because of convenience. It’s located right on North York station for TTC and it has a big parking lot that is free up to 3 hours if you watch a movie. The quality of the movies is of course standardized across Cineplex, depending on the scale of theatre ie IMAX, 3D, etc, so I’m basing this off of other factors. The employees there are all quite friendly and approachable. As an additional benefit, it’s located inside a mall/plaza, including a Loblaws, so you can take care of other businesses before or after your movie. Would visit again for sure.

3 hours of free parking. If it is your first time in this movie theatre, I recommend having an extra 15 mins to figure out the parking. If you stay more than 3 hours don’t forget to pay for a machine. 4th hour is 1$ extra.

This theatre has been a mainstay for the area. It's been such a long time since I've been to the movies. It was a great experience. The crowd was small, I hope it gets better as people get out of their Covid routines and start supporting the local businesses more.

Nice and friendly staff...aptly staffed for a Saturday night as well. The theatres was also well maintained and clean. One area of improvement was the all counter labelling was alcohol lines .. ideally there should be couple of lines for tickets only as well. It could ease up the confusion.

This Cineplex is situated inside North York Centre. It's easily accessible. The theatre was a good size with comfortable seats. It was clean. The sound level was great and not too loud.

The movie quality was good but the portion of food was very less from regular. I have been watching movies at Cineplex more than 3 years now but never had such a small portion for poutine. I advised the server to add more fries but he said that this is the size they serve. Disappointed from food quality.

Nicee but if you're afraid of height, may not be an easy feat getting to the actual cinema. One free standing escalator leads all the way there and another free standing one located on a different side brings you back down.

Very accessible. Just one stop from Finch subway station. If you want to watch a movie, go here and step out after for food experiences at Yonge Street.

Went for Avatar D-box. All the shaking trembling, rumbling and bumping "paid for" is not really worth, feels like stressful video games. 3D experience in itself is immersive... if you want a more premium experience, go for the VIP.

This Cineplex is very convenient. The subway station is right beneath the building and they also have basement parking. Although it is at the top, you can easily ride an elevator or walk on a unique stairwell. Their theatre is clean and not too crowded. Ordering food was easy breezy, very clean counters and fairly organized. Butter outside the counter, along with ketchup and stuff is a plus for me. If you want other food or snacks, a grocery store is just floors below. We would love to come back here when we get to shop up North.
