Exemplary programming, beautiful space and a strong community arts focus. The volunteers and staff and film fans make this a special community theatre. My favorite spot for a wide range of documentary film! -longtime member.
It's rare to come across a one screen cinema. This one has been gloriously, and comfortably renovated. Great selection of documentaries that you won't see elsewhere. Best of all is that they pop REAL popcorn too. They also sell alcohol at the concession stand. Well worth a visit!
Great place to watch short movies and documentaries. I went to watch the water docs film festival and saw some really great movies.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show Toronto Shadow Cast is phenomenal! Definitely worth the admission price!
A nice, cozy - mid size - theater. Great location: easy access by TTC. A few steps from several great places to eat at: East-Asian Korean & Japanese, North-American pub food, check out ''Insomnia", & much more ...
A little old feeling but it’s a nice size theatre. Was there for the fly fishing film fest and the crowd was easily accommodated. Two levels makes viewing from the back rows of each level very good.
What a lovely experience. We were here to watch "They Shall Not Grow Old", a story of World War I, like its never seen before. The movie was amazing, the service was outstanding. such a clean & kept theater. There is AMPLE leg room in all rows. I would definitely return.
Hot Docs is an amazing venue. My photos are specifically of a UDocs Live event which featured a documentary screening followed by a live panel of experts discussing the subject matter. These UDocs events are accredited for lawyers, accountants and business professionals for CPE/CPD credits.
The seating is comfortable. I am 5ft 4in and I had a full, unobstructed view of the panel I was there to see. Really that is my primary criteria for a theatre so good job.
