I went yesterday to operate my safety box. The branch was closed and a notice was displayed that it is closed to keep the customers safe. Are you serious? Is it enough information to close the branch. If it is cash withdrawal I can go to other branches but what to do in case of safety box.
Woefully understaffed, only one person at the front desk. No tellers. Always a long wait to get anything done at this branch. Can book appointments but they are always booking at least a week out.
Useless branch. They do nothing, everything is a referral to another branch. Do not expect them to be able to provide you the service you need.
I do not recommend using this branch for your financial advisory services. Ever since Moin Islam left the branch, trying to contact anyone at the branch is a hairpulling experience. They ignore your emails, phone calls, and even email request from advisors from other branches that tried to contact them. It was for a simple tax free savings account withdraw, and it should not take 4 days to be completely ignored. Imagine if you had to deal with this branch for your mortgage, and you can't contact them for 4 days, right near your closing date. Edit: The branch manager contacted me today, he apologized and offered a $50 credit, 1 year chequing account fee waiver. Problem has been resolved for now, so I will leave the rating as a 3 instead of 1.
I wish I can give something below 1 star. If you look at my reviews on google, I am very generous with rating, one has to provide way pethatic service to earn 1 star, and CIBC did that. Our organization has been dealing with CIBC for over 28 years. We have had GICs with them for many years where they had been paying us peanuts which is no where close to inflation rate. We decided to try long term GICs. Their website says 3% promotional for 5 years. We went to their Strandherd and Woodroffe branch and the girl who was serving us said that yes it is a good deal. She broke our previous GICs to invest at a higher rate. Then she came back saying it does not work with small business account. I showed her CIBC'S website. She made few calls and said she has made a request to honor the posted rate. No one called me for a week. I called the branch, no one picked up the phone, I left a voicemail for the investment advisor. She called me back after few days saying CIBC can not honor posted rate. It has been very frustrating dealing with them lately. We will be moving our business from CIBC very soon. Save your time and money, don't deal with them.
I came today to the CISB branch 3101 Strandherd Dr, Nepean, to request a bank draft or certified cheque, but the branch is experiencing technical difficulties and cannot produce/print any bank draft or certified cheque. Branch is not aware when the issue will be resolved. Very disappointed.
Was in a hurry. Wanted some questions answered but all she did was selling. Asked question again, but all she did was trying ignore to sell me another service. Asked another question, but again she "noticed something else" in my account that required selling. Meeting lasted longer than wanted. Had to go back because she forgot to let me sign a paper.
Slow and poor customer service picking up.foreign cash order. Strange process to pick it up. Have to open envelope and count the money myself. Whatever happened to the teller counting it for you. Next time will just get it mailed to me.
Terrible will never go to this branch again. Very rude and useless staff. That don't care at all about customer service. Such a shame because I have very positive experiences with cibc.
Its very hard to reach this branch and i’ve been calling for 4 days now and no one called back.
