Chef is good at explaining the dishes. Lamb shank pasta was good and they're great portions. Pasta is really good too. I suggest coming early, around 5:30-6pm, to get good seats and service.
Awesome place with great customer service. The owner will try to impress you with his creations whether it's salads, pizzas or deserts. Ideal for coffee chats or working on projects during the day. Highly recommended.
Great staff, delicious food, excellent mimosa and family friendly for brunch! Kids loved the pizza and pasta. I enjoyed a mimosa!
Everything I had here was above my expectations. Best carbonara pizza ever! Super friendly staff. Highly recommended.
I am someone who prides themselves and the restaurants I choose to eat at. I have worked in hospitality for many years and I know what I value in food and service. I can say from the bottom of my heart this is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. Lets start with location. I live in Liberty Village and I can say that none of the chain restaurants located within the area are even half as quality as the food here or as well priced! It also isn't trying to be some trendy restaurant. From a fellow Italian.... it feels like your walking into an authentic wine bar in Italy. The service is amazing. The food is amazing. The atmosphere is perfect. Its my go to spot for bringing friends and family to have some food and drinks and they are never disappointed! Extremely thankful this place is right across the street.
Great atmosphere and nice little cafe. The owner and workers are great, having affordable daily deals. I came on a recommendation from family and it was well worth it. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and added eggplant on it. The sauce was a touch salty, but overall it was a good personal pizza. It made me want to go back and try other things on the menu. For the area it's in, it's a good value for the food you get.
Wow! I just had an incredible meal at this place. My boyfriend and I tried it for the first time and got the $10 pizzas every Tuesday. They were kind enough to accommodate my vegan needs and it tasted amazing! Wine is very reasonably priced and the service impeccable. Both the server Igor and the owner came to ensure we were satisfied - we will be back!! Highly recommend!!
Made a reservation for 730 on a Saturday night. Called the night before to confirm that they had the dinner special of Lamb shanks over pasta which I heard great things about! I was so excited to try this local spot but was very disappointed once we arrived. I was told that there was going to be a limited menu because they hadn’t been very busy that day so they had already sent the chef home. The only options were going to be lasagna, some select pizzas, or salads. How was this possible? It was only 730.. on a Saturday.. and we had made a reservation in advance...I was never even contacted to let us know before we went. Overall just super disappointed because I heard so many great things and was looking forward to trying a new local restaurant only to walk out 5 minutes after arriving.
It's a lovely little spot to try out! The chef and owner is authentic, and loves his food and wine! The food is pretty good, especially considering the one burner and small oven he has for a kitchen! Pretty impressive creations come out. Pizzas are especially delicious! Bonus, if you head there on Friday evenings, they have live music which makes for a very intimate musical experience! Wine is also offered at very cheap prices and are all very tasty options! I have even gone there for brunch since he does a few different breakfast style options!
The positives - nice place to sit, have food, wine, and coffee and perhaps read and very exquisite napkins - the likes you never seen before owner takes lots of pride in his napkins. Negatives- The owner is very rude as you'll notice from all the previous negative ratings. His comments are also very indicative of his behavior as well if he's not "happy" with you... I came by to eat order of ritual and have a coffee. The waiter came by and ask me that I cant order off ritual and eat here fair - makes absolute sense, so I ask for another spaghetti meatball to eat here and the other meal as a takeout. That should address the misunderstanding and I was planning on leaving a big tip since, yes that is a mishap on my part I was thinking in terms of Aroma. The owner comes by while I'm eating and berates me for ordering off ritual and expecting to eat there. #1 I already order another meal and coffee #2 there is absolutely no need to speak in that tone, especially, when the issues was address... I promptly ate my meal and left a good tip anyways didn't ask for change and will likely not come back here. Quite a shame, I would had continue to come here but since there's many others spots around Liberty Village - really no need.
