Defines what is delicate fine dining! All the sides are so well/artistically designed to math the main. Amazed by the root vegetable pave came with the duck breast! Spruce s’more in choco cake tastes like burnt plastic though... Refreshing selection of cocktails. Will go every season for new menu.
My husband and I have been here a couple times, both were in a private room for different celebrations. Service is top notch, super professional and friendly. Excellent spot for a special quiet meal. The food is super delicious and satisfying. Definitely recommend and will return!
This was a nice experience. Clean, quiet, quick and most of all, delicious. I would recommend to anyone who would like to try something a little different.
Lamb shank was to die for and our server was absolutely fantastic. Most enjoyable evening.
Recommended with minor reservations. Good service. Unpretentious environment. Drinks and food were generally quite good. Would have been 5 stars if not for the fact that some dishes e.g., the onion soup seemed off. Not just “not fantastic” but actually poor.
Fantastic place for an incredible dinner. The service at chives is the best in the city. The servers know the menu and offer fabulous suggestions. It's a very unique place and the decor is beautiful. They have a great drink menu. If you're in town this is a great place for a great meal, good selection of fish dishes.
Very good table! Great fresh local food and Anna, our server, was knowledgeable and professional. I'm not often in Halifax, but I'll stop again on my next visit!
