Reading the reviews gave me some trepidation for my first visit.nnGot here 9:44am for my 10am booked appointment, lined up at entrance for application pickup goes straight in to counter 13, got checked in 10:05am with a ticket and got ready to wait, got pinged to see processor at 10:06am I just sat down lol, found my passport ID starts with O not zero & my ID must be photocopies and not printed scans, photocopied my ID since no line, went to their computer workstations and waited 30min in line 2 computers are behind check-in and 2 on left corner to redo my application with that one correction, saw old tech-illiterate people can't figure out what they're doing slowing the line down, did my corrections in online portal and printed out a fresh application 50 cents per page extra charge at the end so little pocket change, went back to the processor counter, got fingerprints taken had to rub my forehead to add oil to fingers lmao, was told to come pickup in 3 days unless they call me and to go pay, walked toward payment counter 14 and passed by the lady at check-in who gave me a friendly nod and asked if I have everything figured out, got in another 10min line to pay my fee plus $5 printing fee, got out the building at 11:02am on a Monday to grab dim sum down the street.nnThat was smooth all things considered since I had that typo and ID photocopy issue, as far as I am concerned. Be respectful to the staff, learn to read, don't be dumb. And this office has a beautiful north-facing view.
Extremely positive experience at the visa center. I would give 7 star if I can .nEspecially great appreciate to silver . Her staff code is 51. She is amazing, very responsible, she knows each step about her job, beautifully not only from the face but also from the heart.nI was trying to write an appreciation letter on the visa center website , unfortunately there is no link for the customer writennThank you Silver , Thank youn
The lady with mid length black hair at the front counter acts like she owns the place and orders the customers around. The printer wasn’t working and 5 people were asking her about it and she said figure it out with the rudest tone because “it was their problem.” I see other people commenting about rude front desks and wonder if it’s the same person, if it is, she needs to be fired. All other staff I encountered were super nice though!
This was the most inefficient experience I've had. I filled in my application online and was prompted to make an appointment.nnI made an appointment for Friday at 10am and did not get to the counter until 11:30am. There was no difference between walk-ins and appointments as we were all put into the same line and made to wait.nnDouble check that you have all the documents photocopied and printed, including copies of your passport and identification for Q2. You don't want to lose your spot in line to print everything again.nnAfter the line up to get to reception, the rest of the process took about 20 minutes to complete if you have everything that you need.nnAdvice for people: try to book the earliest appointment in the day, and don't book on a Friday morning or noon.nnPointers for improvement for the center:n- implement a limit for the number of people who can book an appointment so that each 30 minute slot is not overbookedn- separate the walk ins and appointments
Extremely friendly service. I got a family emergency and need the visa asap. I was not familiar with application and missed a lot of documents.nThe people there were very understanding. They opened a new counter for me, guide me through the process and arranged the express service.nI got the visa on the same day.nBest wishes to these fascinating people.
