Chilliwack River Rafting

About

White water adventures and stories about our guests on the Chilliwack River in British Columbia, Canada.

Story

Imagine yourself amid the Cascade Mountains, water splashing, the afternoon sun sparkling off the crisp, blue mountain river. Now imagine an adrenaline pumping descent down roaring canyons or cresting over the top of foaming waves, while the thundering sound of more exciting rapids can be heard.

This world-class adventure is right here in Chilliwack!!!

We operate on the Chilliwack River from our 4-acre rustic riverside resort. We can offer you the best ride on the Chilliwack River. Our small, self-bailing rafts, with a maximum of eight people, make this trip totally fun. Everyone paddles ensuring a great team building experience.

Chilliwack Classic (Class II-III)
This run is currently offered all year round at all water levels
The fast rapids and long wave trains have made this white water trip a favorite for Vancouver rafters for over a decade. This trip is suitable for all rafters. During the Classic the rapids build in intensity until your raft challenges the explosive Tamihi, Campground and Sawmill rapids. There is an optional shuttle around these big rapids for those who are nervous.

Chilliwack Classic Extreme (Class III-IV)
Available at high water levels when our Canyon trip is closed the Classic Extreme runs the same rapids as our Chilliwack Classic, but at the end of the trip you have the opportunity to head up and run the bigger rapids of the Classic a 2nd time!

Chilliwack Canyon (Class III-IV)

Available at medium and low water levels, this section is suitable for both enthusiastic, fit beginners and experienced rafters. From the start of this run the river descends up to 75 feet per kilometer. The Chilliwack Canyon features continuous, intense rapids, boulder gardens and crystal blue water.

Here at Chilliwack River Rafting Adventures, we pride ourselves on our high level of professionalism. All of our guides are licensed and experienced. A safety kayaker escorts every Chilliwack trip to ensure maximum safety. We supply a wetsuit, life jacket, paddle, and a helmet.

Had an amazing day rafting with our group of 14 friends. The morning started with breakfast. Full breakfast of pancakes, sausages, eggs, etc. Topped up the energy we needed for the trip. Got us all suited up and oriented. Very professional. The guides were excellent. Extremely pleasant, organized and patient. Numerous times they got us back on board our kayaks after spills. The route was challenging but rewarding. A good mix of tougher rapids and calmer resting areas. And then back to the base to get the gear off. Topped off by a great lunch! Try this out for sure! It's well worth while.

Had an amazing time! The guides are knowledgeable and experienced. The guide made sure we went through all the features of the river to get the total experience. Make sure to go for the Extreme Version to get your money's worth. The campsite is pretty clean with fire pits and free wood. Food is pretty decent. The only downside is that there is limited washrooms available. I had an awesome time! Definitely will be back for more.

We spent our whole day there yesterday and it was super-cool! My husband and his friend did the Classic Extreme and the rest of us tried the ordinary trip. I have to say, I am bit disappointed that I chickened out on the CE one as the start of our journey was rather mellow and the real fun was right at the end. I am not an adrenaline junkie (quite the opposite) but you do wanna bounce around a bit while rafting, right? That’s the whole point of rafting, right? Our “captain” Josh (I think that was his name, the one who was trained by Russ and had UK/New Zealand/Australian accent) was so-so good! His orders were very clear (to most at least) and he was fun to be around with, we were all very pleased with him. Russ was great too BTW, but Team Josh all the way for us! Food was good with great veggie option. It was perfect “Canadian experience”, with friendly and helpful people with can-do attitude and can’t stress enough how much fun we had. Only thing that I didn’t like was constant waiting (waiting to get a wet-suit, paddle, to get on the buss, to get on the boat, to get going!) but again, if you have so many people in the group there’s little we can do about it so it is understandable. Thank you so much for accommodating us and for giving us such a great experience. We will be back soon!

Did the canyon extreme & absolutely loved it, our guide Max was clear, concise and made the rafting so much fun. The food was tasty and we had such a great open mic concert on the Saturday evening. Susan and Russ were lovely. Could do with more showers but other than that the trip was perfect and such good value for money. Will definitely be back.

Had an amazing day with them. The staff were well trained and helped you feel safe. The rafting experience was a blast! We also got to walk through a waterfall which was a lovely experience. We also never felt rushed so you really got to enjoy your day! We even got some photos from the day which were awesome!
