Went here because from a promo on ig. We tried 3 dishes: 1.braised pork belly with potato. 2. crab seafood fried rice. 3. mapu tofu- 1&2 are must try! They’re absolutely delicious when pairing together. About the tofu it was actually too salty than spicy, our tongues actually became numb from the saltiness after 2 tries! The atmosphere was literally ‘down-to-earth’ because the restaurant is a basement on busy street but the vibe was quiet which is great! The service was good and the staffs were really helpful accommodating to our needs. Will definitely comeback to try more.

I never write reviews. First time I’ve ordered from this place. Got it on Uber Eats, and as a spicy food lover, this exceeded expectations. I got the medium spice only two options mild and medium and I’m more than satisfied!! As I said I LOVE spicy food, and this was so spicy and so delicious. Fellow spice lovers order and enjoy some of the best food you will have!!!!

Amazing! Last time when I ordered from Uber eats, the food was ok But this time I went to the store and trying it again it was absolutely delicious, it was a bit pricey though but what isn’t now days with the inflation. Highly recommended, would definitely going back again!!!

This place is awesome, the pan fried spicy hot pot is sooo delicious and never disappoints ! Service is fast and the owners are very nice, highly recommend this restaurant!

We ordered a spicy fish Medium spicy, it was really good! The fish was so fresh and tender! Will try the extreme spicy one next time loll.

Ordered general tao's chicken that every Chinese restaurant has. This one just killed it! The chicken is so tender and soft. I had this dish every time I went to a Chinese restaurant but this one is the BEST!

The food here is ok but nothing special. Better compared to most Chinese restaurants in Ottawa but that’s really not saying much. They use a very beautiful traditional grill for their fish hotpot and there’s communist paintings on the wall that give the restaurant a maoist era vibe… thats as authentic as it gets. The soft shell crab fried rice has fish roe mixed in which gives it a very unique taste and texture and is probably the best thing on the menu. The fish hotpot is average. The stir fried pork intenstines with peppers is terrible - not gross, but does not taste anything close to the real thing… just very little flavor sitting in a puddle of water.
