Chifa

I went to this restaurant because of the decor and the interesting fusion of Peruvian and Chinese cuisine. The atmosphere and the design of the restaurant were great! They even made their speakers suspended from the ceiling part of their decor. The staff was very friendly and attentive. However, I was disappointed in the main dishes. Especially the fried rice since it was very salty. My friends were on the same page. But the appetizers were good and I did enjoy them. Maybe ask for less salty when you order, if you're use to salty food. Chifa is worth a try. Also check out the corridor of their washrooms in the basement. It's original.

I really enjoyed my experience at this place. I was looking to get some food around 11:30pm since I arrived in the city pretty late and this was one of the places open close by where I was staying. Even tho the place wasn’t full we were given a bar seat we were 2 , and we would have loved to have a table but whatever reading the reviews it happens pretty often . Staff was veryyy kind and very attentive. The dishes were delicious, and we would get the one by one that to be honest I don’t mind because I feel they are served once they are ready so nothing was cold or tasted old. It is pretty pricey and plates are small , but for I was looking for this place hit the spot and was perfect. Also I loved the option that you can pay with you phone in the app and then don’t have to be asking the server for your bill ! Such an innovative and amazing thing !

Nice ambiance and presentation but the food and service were off. The only good dish was the fried calamari, but the fried rice and fried chicken dishes were intensely salty. The service was awful, the waitress was always in a rush to serve and not welcoming. Understandably it was very busy but it took them a long time to take our order and request for more water.

What an beautiful restaurant and atmosphere. Place was packed on a Monday but we never felt rushed or waited long for anything. The food is delicious and the waiters are super nice and devoted. A must try if you like fusion food! We will back without hesitation.

Very good food, especially the ceviche. We chose the terrace but the restaurant asked everybody to move inside at 11pm for noise purposes. The interior decoration was charming with dimmed lights. I had to remove a star because of 2 reasons. Our server was lacking skills but was friendly and pleasant and we were forced to use the night menu even tho 15 min was left before it should 22h. I recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a Peruvian-Chinese fusion.

They have a special late-night snack menu when you're looking for something to eat when all the other restaurants are closed. We had tasty octopus skewers and a Peking duck meal, both of which were delicious. Late night the place seemed to turn into a relaxed laid back place people went to for exciting cocktails and to hang out.

Chifa was such a delight to go to. Really lovely servers who we later realized were cooks that occasionally serve tables to understand this side of it and also get to see for themselves how much people are enjoying their food. They gave us some shots on the house and our waiter was very chatty and helpful in giving us recommendations on things to do in Montreal. The limoncello drink was great.

Beautiful restaurant and nice ambience. We went there to have late dinner after 11pm and it was a good surprise, the food was delicious! The drinks were also great. It was just a little annoying that one of the plates came way later than the others, instead of altogether.

It was close to our hotel and overall the food was flavourful, delicious, & well presented. The cocktails were delicious and the service was great. The one hiccup was ordering the skewers. I am highly allergic to anything related to chicken and when we ordered it and asked to have the chicken omitted we were told by our sever that was not an option. My husband explained my severe allergy and he still said no. We didn't understand as we were asking for it to be removed. In the end when he told the chef we were served everything but the chicken. Thank you Chef!

Great food and awesome ambiance. The dishes are meant to be shared so we were able to sample a few. Portion sizes were great and the wait staff was very friendly and welcoming.
