This place is extremely homey and cozy inside and out! The staff working here absolutely radiate positivity. Also, their pancakes are giant and amazing!
Whether you dine in or take out the food is always excellent here. Great staff and decent prices. I’ve never gotten food that wasn’t fresh hot and delicious. This restaurant has been here for a long time and you can see why with every visit. One of my favorite breakfast places in Muskegon.
Great home town restaurant! Food was excellent! Superb quality and friendly atmosphere. Our waitress was awesome and even offered to go drinks! Will be back for sure!Food: 5/5
Tried it for the first time this past weekend with family from back home in Illinois. Loved it so much we came back the following morning. Got a basic egg, meats, toast and potatoes home fries meal and the potatoes brought back memories of my hometown restaurant that had sadly closed down years ago. It was as if there was a portal to the past and they brought them back here! 100 percent would and will recommend this place to anybody that comes and visits from home.
Hadn't been here in several years. Food came out quickly and waitress did a great job. If you haven't been here in a couple decades, the interior hasn't changed!Food: 5/5
Edit: *7 Months Later* We came back to see if the Cherokee is just as good as we remember, and sure enough it is. We have noticed places around the area are increasing their prices for the blame of Covid-19, however Cherokee has NOT increased any prices whatsoever. This in my book makes it all the better. Quantity and quality is all the same as before making this place very consistent in its flavors and endeavors it has to offer. I still would pick Cherokee over the others as it is very little wait times 10:00am - 1:00pm despite being a power hour, and are quick for food to come to order. Original Review: This is our second time back at the Cherokee Restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing from the pancakes to the Texas French toast, and everything in between. Customer service is fantastic and is always accommodating! Compared to many other breakfast places in Muskegon this in my opinion recieved the only 5 star due to its price, taste, and customer service.
The food was incredible! We dined on a Sunday. It was quite busy and we were still seated almost immediately. The staff was kind and helpful although very obviously understaffed.Food: 5/5
I’ll give it three stars for clean and family friendly and the pancakes are good. Other than the pancakes the food quality is consistently below average for your standard breakfast/lunch cafe compared to a waffle house or IHOP. We ate here three times as it is right down the street from our Airbnb rental. The sausage is comparable to the already cooked packaged sausage in Walmart and is like an old grease sponge.
This is a staple for the area, old timey diner feel. Absolutely love this place. It's best to come in early because everyone else will be on the same page about stopping in. Their Big Chief is a staple, and don't forget to take home some frozen Pasties...Food: 5/5
Great staff, friendly, great location, great prices, The Bacon is "on point*" every time, never fatty, always great. If you're looking for a cozy breakfast/lunch place with a neighborhood atmosphere this is definitely it. Many regulars:
