Story

Since 1975, Checker has been providing premier taxi service in Calgary. For over 35 years they have been helping Calgarians and visitors to Calgary with everyday transportation, airport pickup and drop off service, special occasion and corporate transportation.

Blocked my car in a stall on the street, also illegally parked within 2 meters of a yield sign. Yes thats my front hood directly behind the yellow bumper. Use ride share services and get these drivers off the streets. I called 4 times to have the van moved and was sent to voice mail or left on hold for a supervisor. No resolution.
Today at 3:00 pm this cab was in the handicapped spot parked sideways. Unloading stuff and the people where not handicapped at all.and because this selfish cab drive ways to lazy to park in the appropriate spot this elderly couple had to park far away and this couple was handicapped. Shame shame shame on you. I will never support a company like this every. They think they are above the law and can park where very they like.
Driver got out of car and bent my mirrors dented my door and spat in my open window for accusing me of not using a turn signal to get around him. Maybe if he wasn’t on his phone on FaceTime, he would’ve seen a turn signal. Extremely unproffesional and dangerous. Caused property damage in excess of $500 on my way to file a police report.
Booked a cab on their app to pick up me and my dad who is on oxygen at McMahon stadium. The Cab Driver cab 1111 picked up other patrons. I was able to run and catch up to the cab and when asked why he didn’t pick us up he blatantly lied to my face and said he tried calling and was generally very unprofessional. I’ve used checker for years but this incindent has made me reconsider ever using or recommending this company again. Attached is a picture of said taxi driver name Akash. #14292 I believe is his license number.
Had a very nice experience with one of your drivers. Yesterday I missed the bus while heading to school and I was running a bit late. So I called for a cab and car 1671 showed up in just a few minutes! We had a nice and enjoyable conversation on the way to school and the car was spick and span. But at the end of the ride, I tried to pay with my debit card but it didn't go through. He offered me a free ride to a nearby 7-11 so I could get some cash from the ATM they have there. He also gave me a discount for the whole ride. I offered to give a $5 tip for the 7-11 trip but he said he was good. He dropped me off right in front of the school and I ended up coming on time. I will definitely continue using this company whenever necessary! Sorry I didn't catch his name.

Needed a ride on a Saturday with my 2 kids with disabilities. The operator of cab 707 is very kind, helpful and patient with us. He is even knowledgeable with the city's services for persons with disabilities which he generously shared with me. Thank you very much .
I called for a cab, they told me that it would be on it’s way. After 40 minutes pass by, I called the company back to inquire about the whereabouts of my cab.. they informed me that my booking was blocked and cancelled because I’ve apparently been ‘black listed.’ I asked WHY I’ve been black listed, and they claimed that it was either because I’ve called multiple cab companies OR because I’ve called for multiple cabs. I asked when this happened, but they just informed me that they could not help me. I have absolutely no information as to when this allegedly occurred! They’re a terrible company with no regard for customers or resolution.
Called them I check voucher with aircanada and I was told yes they use it and I was made fun of as a newbie. I'm frequent flyer. The taxi ended up coming and said he can't take and called his calling center and they told him they don't take it. Edit to respond on the reply: I called your call center to confirm and I was told it is good to use and I was made fun of
This cab service is awful when it comes to people with disabilities!!!!! They get upset when they have to use an ace card that is provided for the client as it’s hard for them to get around. The cab drivers take the longest way possible to the destination trying to say it’s the best way. To make a buck and they made the fare more then what it is too get a tip. Thank goodness some of these people have a companion to advocate. I would hate to see what they do to ones with out. They should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantages of these people.
