We just spent the weekend there with 3 other couples, great location and was convenient for all of us to stay together in one space. However the steep deposit of $2000, plus check in was at 5 and the couple who had made the reservation was held up at the border and was told it was $125 late fee. Arriving at 6:20 they were told it was going to be $250 late fee because it was per hour!!! There were NO hand towels or paper towels to dry your hands any were not even in the bathrooms we had to buy paper towels at the little store next door No wash cloths and for the weekend each person was to reuse their one towel and not even a bath towel to step on to in the bathrooms which are tiled and very slippery when wet the kitchen was not equipped with the amenities you would think it should have. Ooooh and bring a shovel with you because of it happens to snow and you get two feet of snow when the roads get plowed the snow banks are so high your car is not getting through it to exit out through the alley way and apparently that's our responsibility. So over all for the price you're paying you're not getting even close to what you should be getting. And the pictures in the website make this place look very glamorous... It's nice, but not like the pictures show...old and out dated. And to top of our trip our car window was smashed in and ransacked parked in a parking lot down the street. So yes, I'm a little bitter about this weekend get away.
We stayed there past weekend. Beautiful place to stay few things, -Do not have parking spot -Cannot park on street either -Wifi doesn’t work in basement at all couldn’t play games on PS4 - no TV in family room - wish we could use balcony but it was locked for winter season. They could have easily clean when they are making that much money. - pool was Cold and they added more water so it took half a day to warm up. - they had all the spices except salt and pepper!
The hotel was unbelievable!! Very luxurious, clean, warm pool and all of the amenities you could want. Just stunning with a great location and staff. If you could be so lucky to stay here, you will not be disappointed.
Amazing Chateau with very hard working staff, Stephanie in general. They treat their place with a lot of respect and if you do the same you'll have the best time. We had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday there and got to experience both suites. Both are exceptional in their own way. Highly recommend : Thank you Stephanie
I leased this prperty using Airbnb for six days for my family, it is completaly rundow and unsafet, doors are broken, electrical outlets are out of the wall, a heavy gas smell in the oven, broken tiles, on and on. there is not enough dining ware, and all this for 900 dlls per night. the good news is that the second day i was there after not geting a response from AJ the host we decided to move out, i filled a complain in Airbnb and by the next day they had reinbursed the 100% of the nights i did not use and 50% of the ones that i stayed there.
We had 7 people staying for 4 nights. Within walking distance to Place Jacques Cartier, Chateau Ramesay museum, Promenade along the river, and Marche Bonsecours. Shares a wall with the Sir George-Etienne Cartier museum. Our room had one bathroom that attached to another bedroom though a closet - fine for us since we shared with our son, but not very private. The bathroom did not have a shower, only a jet tub, which meant 5 adults and 2 tweens vying for 2 showers, one of which is literally a glass door adjacent to the bed of the downstairs bedroom. The rooftop terrace was amazing and we barbecued on the huge grill one night - best night there. Beautiful view of the city and river - you can see Marche Bonsecours, the St. Lawrence, Molson centre, Olympic tower. I did yoga up there on the first morning and the view was lovely though there is a lot of construction and traffic, so not very peaceful. The hot tub and indoor pool were used every night inside a game room with a huge couch and big screen TV. Lots and lots of stairs, which was hard on the older set in our group, especially after walking all day. The third night we were there there was a lot of rain and the archway in the kitchen started leaking and dropping wet plaster on the floor. Kitchen appliances are nice, but the kitchen is missing items like good pots and pans, a non stick spatula, measuring spoons and cups, and the knives were dull despite honing them and no steak knives. The dishwasher almost fell out of the wall on us because it wasn't bolted to anything. Make sure to lock the front doors as people will it happened to us wander in thinking it's a museum - and don't let them come in because the agent will charge you for an extra person even if they don't stay. We paid for parking it is $45 extra for two VERY tight spots in an alley that may have random guys using it as a bathroom at 6pm - yup, that happened too! and found that the owner had also rented the parking spots to the people renting the other smaller unit on the third night. Had to park on the street, were promised a refund for that day of parking. WiFi is also an extra charge. I bet the place was amazing 10 years ago when all the lights and speakers worked, landscaping on the deck was maintained, iPods were a thing people needed docking stations for, and the kitchen was new, and the ceiling didn't leak. Not sure it's worth what they charge now - could use regular maintenance and some updating. Also, don't arrive thinking the outside will look like a castle - it looks like a regular city block from the outside.
Great Location Trendy hotel and a friendly professional service. With only one night in Montreal, we couldnt have found a better place. We highly recommend.
The Castle Suite is wonderful, very roomy and everything you need within walking distance. It was worth every penny. Special thanks to Cassandra & Stephanie who made our stay memorable. Overall service of the staff was impeccable. We will definitely be back!
The interiors are different, resembles an old majestic mansion or a church but all door hardwares are falling off now and the place needs a lot of fixing , Heating/Air conditioning is not working properly. The cleaning lady who changed bed sheets on our arrival was really reaaly rude
Perfect location for exploring Montreal area. The castle itself is in a very good location, less than a 5-minute walk of everything. The room was very big and clean. The staff is friendly and always trying to make a memorial stay. We definitely stay here again. Love it!!
